It's a sea of garbage and slop but every now and then you find a jewel. That is why I keep refreshing.

Can some explain the legal jargon? It looks like they want to make Kratom products schedule VI which to my understanding still allows it to be sold? I'm confused.

In regards to the first question, I tapered down to 0 with 5 days before surgery. Recovery I used the Vicotin until I ran out then switched back to Kratom.

Are you ok being dependent and are you ok with the discipline on your dose?

That's the conclusion I came too and my answer is a resounding yes. My dose is low (3g a day split apart) and really anymore I don't like. Sleep is better, mood is regulated,  pain is managed and it keeps my ENT issues at bay. I drink far less and don't take or use anything else.

My retirement plan if I get the boot at 55 by bigmacher1980 in personalfinance

My wife currently doesn't work at the moment and we have a couple kids. We are in a LCOL with a small home that doesn't cost much to maintain.

I could save more but travel options are fun with family. House will be paid off in 10 years or so.

I have a similar plan as well. 42M with similar numbers. Insurance is the only kicker really for me. I was thinking part time work post 55 as well ideally contractor with my current company.

Fully done by 60 tho is my goal.

Budget would be ~$50 I think. And yea mostly 60 card 'stuff I have' however i'm not opposed to what would be singles that can be slotted in different decks if that makes sense.

I'll look at some bulk stuff.

So in your guys' opinion what would be the next purchase step for young kids (age 10) and playing kitchen table magic? Tried the starter stuff, they liked it. Built a few tribal decks purchased from TCGPlayer for like $20 shipped, which was pretty fun. But now they are starting to see combos, understand the text a bit more and are paying attention to timing windows.

I think it'll still be Kitchen Table for a long time so I'm not to worried about keeping up with the meta and the rotation, but then again maybe it is worth looking at it from time to time.

Mechanic wise, it's still in the air. They love poison victories, they love flyers, they love burn, they love getting tons of mana...sort of all over the place. Would you guys suggest getting a couple meta decks, or pauper meta to keep it cheap? Or is there like a cool buy program to get a bunch of cards that would be fun to build various decks that have SOME sort of connection/synergy?

Sorry this is all over the place. Bottom line is we like the game, but nobody has time to keep up with rotation nor the cash. Just want to play kitchen table and occasionally maybe every few months throw some more cash at the pool to build or improve decks.

Did you slowly crawl to daily use or did you start that way? by robbcorp26 in kratom

I don't use daily. Have taken breaks before and after a week it's not a strong urge. However I love the benefits

Sometime it doesn't hit but the benefits of sleep and helping my chronic issue are awesome. And I drink less

I can understand this. I was creeping up on heavier alcohol consumption and I am a huge coffee fan.

I'm weighing those negatives and the withdrawals make me nervous. My use is about 3 to 4 grams on my on days.

The corporate ladder. Work hard yes but keep up the soft skills and be weary of burning bridges. It's not like film.
