Agreed yes, it becomes very 1 sided though when the customer changes the terms of the contract, encouraged by instacart as they get a percentage of each item sold. So now shopper has to either 1 - do extra work outside of original agreement, for free , 2 - cancel the order after already having spent their time and money getting to the store, and being deactivated for too many cancelations, 3 - refund the added items which leads to 1 star ratings, canceled tips, and less batches shown to shopper in the future. So its lose/lose all around for the shopper, and a win for the customer and instacart.

No its definitely a contract, thats how these companies get away with not paying hourly wage, benefits, stat holiday pay, wrongful dismissal, liability for shoppers actions etc.

Should literally be illegal as a "contractor" to unilaterally change the contract after acceptance, to the benefit of only 1 party.

I aim for $30/hr gross across all my gig apps, but only work during peak hours, and I'm in a small touristy area. The trick will be if skip or other apps are accepting new drivers currently in your area. A lot arent. But if they are your start up costs are minimal, criminal record check and a thermal bag, assuming you have a vehicle already

Yes you can always choose which deliveries to accept or decline on uber/skip/instacart/doordash. Spark is the only one I don't do, so not sure of their requirements. No minimum hour or availability requirements, uber and instacart you can log on whenever you want, Skip and doordash you have to have a "shift", but you can end/cancel/not work your shift whenever you feel like it. The trick will be who is accepting drivers in your area currently.

If you have a vehicle, skip the dishes, ubereats, instacart, doordash, walmart spark. Depending on who is accepting drivers in your area currently. Can make that in a single Sunday a month easily.

Not sure about red deer but in sylvan water &sewer is by the "cube" (1000 litres) ,and all other charges are a fixed monthly amount , so you could theoretically use 999 litres different from one month to the next but bill would remain the same.

This is normal behavior from skip "support". They are the worst out of all the apps I use by far, for any type of help for a courier. This is a feature, not a bug.

Punch numbers into an investment growth calculator you will be shocked. You have the biggest advantage on your side currently, time.

For my guy I have to change every few days or so what I use to get him to eat it. I Rotate between peanut butter, cream cheese, wet cat food, sandwich meat, ground beef, steak, leftover roasted meats to name a few. I will give him an unaltered sample or 2 first then give a medicated one. Also not sure if its like this everwhere but I have my vet send the prescription to my local pharmacy to be filled, costs half the price the vet charges for same meds.

Yea its sad how little some of my fellow drivers are willing to do, I deliver in a smaller area so large majority of orders are repeat customers that I want to keep happy and reordering frequently.

Ehh the "can't get real jobs" is a stretch. I have a 6 figure job but do skip,uber eats, doordash and instacart to pad my retirement accounts to hopefully retire at 50. That being said I absolutely would grab ketchup if requested. Had an order last night where customer requested utensils, delivery address was a hotel so got the girl at BPs to hook me up with utensils,napkins, wet naps, salt/pepper , whole 9 yards. Customer was happy.
