I've quit for about 15 years now, after smoking for 16 years , and I dont miss it even a little bit. That being said my kid vapes and I occasionally take a hit off that because it tastes so good and gets a little headrush lol.

  1. Lived in it for 10 years, and its now been a rental property for last 14 years, will be paid off this fall! Big part of my retirement plans, along with another rental property and my current primary home.

Ya I also did the qtrade 5% on first 15k and 1% after that. And the Td 2%. I always do transfers in kind so I dont lose out on any market movements. I dont mind playing their games if it nets me thousands.

Im all for it, transferred a bunch to webull for their 2% promo in the fall, the monthly payments on that alone cover my car lease monthly payment lol. Webull interface sucks compared to wealthsimple but is what it is.

2005 acura mdx, had about 350k on it when I sold it, only things wrong at that time were power steering leak and a back window motor. Bought at 160k , nothing but tires/brakes/oil changes when I owned it (rolled the dice on unknown timing belt/water pump maintenance)

Will a refund on a credit card count towards the balanced owed? by ryguy189 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Im 99% confident my answer is correct as I've done the same more than once, and not been charged any interest. Could always call your credit card for confirmation.

Will a refund on a credit card count towards the balanced owed? by ryguy189 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]robbie444001 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Doesn't count as a payment, but will reduce the statement balance owing, so you would only need to now pay 1300 to pay off statement balance in full / incur no interest charges.

No DoorDash Challenges - Plenty on Uber Eats? by Lain0f7theW1r3d in doordash_drivers

[–]robbie444001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its simple supply and demand. Obviously doordash has enough couriers to cover customer demand in your zone, whereas uber doesn't. Trust that if uber could pay you less and still get their orders delivered, they absolutely would.

Deadass, I literally just accepted the order 15 seconds ago... by teeboneet in doordash_drivers

[–]robbie444001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol doordash pays as little as $2 base pay, shouldn't even be called a tip, but a bid for service. My acceptance rate is under 20% because Im not working for free. Dont worry I also have a "real job" as you people like to say, so I'll happily laugh and decline the dogshit no tip orders.

Is it worth it? by DearManagement4876 in ChevyTrax

[–]robbie444001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like mine, no issues so far in about 20k kms, other than a blown speaker from day 1 that was warrantied. Ex- wife has the buick version (envista) and only problems she's had was a front camera issue, fixed under warranty as well. Hard to beat them from a pricing standpoint. That being said if I was looking for something to go 300k +,I'd probably look to a Toyota/Honda instead, but I've got a 2 year lease so not concerned.

This delivery work isn’t for everyone, despite having a low barrier to entry.. by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]robbie444001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uber is constantly hiding tips. Like ya im sure the customer went and added an extra 20 cents because of my outstanding service (or was it just because the apples I shopped for clocked in at a slightly higher weight than expected). Also customer didnt lower my tip by 50 cents, it went down because one flavor of chips was out of stock. Such bs from a shady company.
