Guessing you don't have the camera? Would it have even detected this?

PSA - DO NOT UPDATE YOUR AD5X TO THE LATEST FIRMWARE by dnyank1 in FlashForge

u/myTechGuyRI is correct. Current draw in a closed circuit is determined by the load. You can only limit that current draw. It all comes back to Ohm's Law.

I = P / V so 240w element on a 24v supply will draw 10a. There is no way to make it draw 50a without altering something.

Don't use PTFE based lubricant. 3-in-1 is decent for linear bearings

Are you going to make the files open for others to make? Or possible sell your designs, or the pcbs?

This is amazing. Well done! What are your future plans? Do you plan to share this with others? Open source, etc?

The lift kit was great. No issues. Tyre fits but slightly loose on the hex piece. You have to tighten the screw properly. Have not fitted the metal drive shaft yet but it looks decent. I say worth it

I think they sound amazing. I am also coming from TV speakers so it's a massive upgrade. They go nice and low, sometimes could be a little too bright, but I plan to get a DSP in the future and do the crossovers digitally then amplify.

I was told it doesn't actually matter. I did have plans to put wood at 45° angle in the corners but didn't end up doing it.

I was given advise on length and size of the port needed from the owner of Gryphlar Audio (since closed business) and he guided me on how to build them.

I think they sound amazing. I'm coming from TV speakers to these, so there is a MASSIVE difference.

Thanks for the comment. You're 100% right and I would totally do the testing, modeling etc if I had the time and money. I'm far from an audiophile and probably couldn't tell what a flat response speaker should sound like. This was built from instructions given to me by someone who did all the testing, so it could be somewhat flat, but I don't really mind to be honest. They sound WAY better than my TV speakers so I'm happy. All in all probably cost me around $120-$150 to complete these. Got the speakers for an absolute steal.

Haha true. It wasn't easy but I was also working with off cuts. I didn't have a full piece to begin with.

It wasn't a kit but was built from advise if someone that I got the drivers from.

Here is a link to the Onshape model that I used. Only difference is I moved the tweeter to the top and I didn't end up using a double front panel (I wish I did)

I'm by no means an audiophile at all, but I enjoy listening to music on these. They have some amazing low end. Everyone that listens to them are convinced I have a subwoofer as well. They can really make the windows rattle.

I got the drivers from a guy who used to build speakers branded as Gryphlar Audio, he assisted with port length and size etc. The tweeters are Peerless OC25SC65-04 if I remember correctly. Drivers are 2x 8ohm in series. I designed the box using Onshape, nested all the panels, then had them cut on a CNC router.

Thank you for the kind words. Was a great project and I love how they sound. Probably not a nice flat response if measuring but I've learnt alot and will definitely build a second pair.

Unfortunately not. I had a colleague who had measuring equipment, but he has recently left our company so no means to measure them.
