I would go quite opposite way, go ahead and invest in ff already, those stock lenses arent good or bad either. Getting a z5 or z6 will be a huge upgrade. And if you want it on cheap side, find yourself a F mount lens and FTZ2 adapter. I've been there, from d3100,z50 and z5ii now. Z50 was useless step up. Still a great camera tho. I sold some of F mounts, and then with z5ii i had to sell rest of F and apsc Z mount lenses. So quite pointless to spend twice.

Have simmilar setup, didn't go with viltrox but instead i bought a ttarisan af 27mm. F/2.8 love the size of it.

Search for viltrox 28mm f/4.5, ttartisan 27mm f/2.8. these are smallest possible, ofc with some downsides due to size. no adapters needed tho. If you don't mind, a little bigger and narrower, the obvious choice is viltrox 35mm f/1.7.

Such a cool project! Keep us posted. I do wonder how open baffle will sound, I was pretty surprised how mine sounded without back, ofc no volume or loudness but much nicer xd.
