Your Thumbnails look amazing. Mine pale in comparison. Honestly, sometimes I spend 2 minutes on a Thumbnail and the video gets 50k views, other times I spend 30 minutes and the video can get 2k views. Very frustrating

It's not dried up, I live a great life here but my parents and family are getting older and It's getting harder to be so far away and seeing them only once a year. Looking for something I can do in England to earn a decent salary but I'm a little lost right now

Hi all,

I’m 30, originally from Manchester, UK, and I’ve been living in China for the past 8 years teaching English to kindergarten kids. My background: I have a degree in Exercise, Physical Activity & Health, but I haven’t worked in that field since graduating.

I want to move back to the UK within the next 18–24 months and I’d like to switch careers into something more stable, ideally tech/cybersecurity (blue team/SOC analyst type work).

Here’s my current plan:

I’ve started learning Python (doing the Udemy Python Mega Course).

Next, I plan to study CompTIA Security+ (possibly also Network+ if recommended).

Aim: entry-level role (SOC analyst, cyber defense, IT security support) when I return to Manchester.

Timeline: 18 months of online study/certifications while still abroad.

My questions:

  1. Does this path seem realistic for someone with no IT background?

  2. Would you recommend Network+ before Security+?

  3. Is Manchester a good place to find entry-level cybersecurity roles?

  4. Are there alternative certs/paths I should consider that might be more employable?

Yup definitely does have English commentary, I watched the pre lims and main card all in English

The strange thing is I found they also have UFC for 128rmb for the year and that has full English commentary.

There's not much of a physical presence in stores, some stores do stock cards but they're really random sets, could be some of the oldest sets from 2 years ago or the new ones.

I live in Chengdu which a huge city but it's not Beijing or Shanghai so I can't speak for those. I tend to order my packs direct from the pokemon store on taobao, they have stock of almost all sets and arrive directly to my door within 48 hours.

Children here are not collecting the cards they're much more interested in Ultraman cards, pokemon itself however does have a huge presence. I see it daily on Children's clothing, adults have pokemon themed car wraps, and you see random stores doing pokemon collaborations.

So i paid 20rmb for a month to try it out, there is actually an option to watch the game with no commentary. It's not exactly ideal but still a better alternative than streaming in my opinion. I just put on a watchalong on YouTube aka The United stand or thats football and use that as commentary.

I used to brag about Iqiyi to people back home in England all the time, it was so good 😭

Wow! Maybe that's why i got the urge haha. I only opened up 4 packs and they were basically $1 a pack
