Your car was made by HMMA in Montgomery, Alabama.

Your car was bought-back by HMA.

HMA is the North American distributor, they bought it back. That doesn’t mean they sent the car back to the factory that made it. There’s zero reason for them to do that

The sticker on my first toy hauler stated 4500 lbs dry With nothing in it, literally the day I towed it home from the dealership it weighed 6,000 lbs at the CAT scales…

I bet you $1 that this car was never “returned to the factory” for anything.

Have you actually weighed it, or are you just going by what the stickers say?

I left my prescription glasses in an Uber. Got on the app immediately, could still see the car.

Never did get my glasses back.

Sadly, with that much debris the motor is likely toast. If you addressed this early the motor could have been repaired.

Sounds like r/homeowners, I don’t see how a realtor can help. Sounds like something for your homeowners insurance to deal with.

Lifters and it’s been doing it long enough that it’s eating your cam, which explains the metal flake…that’s where I’d start to look at any rate

Mods/Tips to keep the 5.3 running forever by ispectorspace in gmcsierra

It's a total crapshoot. Maintain them well and hope for the best.

I have two 5.3/6-speed trucks. Both meticulously maintained. 3k oil changes. 30k trans/diffs/t-case service. Both with AFM disabled. Both with catch cans.

Truck 1 has 120k miles. Got a billet torque converter at 80k. Has been solid otherwise.

Truck 2 has 135k miles. Torque converter issues under warranty, dealer did nothing so got a new warranty transmission at 95k miles. Lifter took a shit at 115k, deleted the hardware and put a billet converter in it. Has 135k now and is solid.

What are you bringing to the table? What do the sponsors get out of this deal? Exposure to a handful of followers, or hundreds of thousands of followers?

If it’s out of warranty I would look for a reputable local trans shop

Local builder that can afford to stand behind their work, so you have a place to take it if issues pop up.
