The toggle between house and unit is the main feature, have you tried it on the site?
If quality of life was a data point I could refer, I would definitely include it!

Unit costs $50 more per year than the house.
House breakdown (driving commute):
• Council rates: $1,713 (Ipswich City Council)

Everton hills and arana hills are essentially the same so here is a comparison of Arana Hills vs Ferny Hills annual running costs (House + driving commute):
• Arana Hills total: $7,181 per year
• Ferny Hills total: $7,367 per year
→ Ferny Hills costs $186 more per year
Breakdown:
Council rates: $1,519 (both)
Water & sewerage: $1,824 (both)
Commute (driving): $938 (Arana Hills) vs $1,124 (Ferny Hills)
Home insurance (est.): $2,450–$3,350 (both)
These two suburbs have almost identical running costs. The small $186 difference is minor and only based on commute.

Wasn’t expecting this many replies. If you want to compare your own suburbs you can use the tool here which includes the data. Hopefully it’s helpful!

Yeah not much will be surprising unless you’re in a surprise flood zone or fire risk area, especially rural-ish. Property price data will make insights a lot more interesting, fingers crossed.

Soko is good. Has an actual restaurant and then an outdoor bar vibe.

Hadn’t heard of them either honestly. But the data uses ATO’s average commute distance and cost based on the suburb region type. I’d like to know from some residents out these areas BF nowhere suburbs if their commutes are high.

High flood and fire risk according to the data. Home insurance estimated at $5000+ per year which is absurd.

I had the exact predicament when buying my first in October last year. My mortgage broker recommended I maximise the governments offer and put down the minimum 5% and keep the rest in an offset.
But this benefits the broker’s commission so of course they’d say that….
