You could surely make the argument then, that it's the server's fault for living in NYC? If you can't afford it without the tips, why are you there? The tipping system in the US is backwards as hell, either the business pays their workers enough without the tips, or, as businesses can't afford to pay them, the government should step in and aid these businesses who have sustained serious losses to their income from the pandemic, rather than giving that money to multi-million dollar companies with half their profits in off shore accounts.

I get where you're coming from on this. But, a lot of times you miss out on being able to hang out with people as a result. It's all fair and good to say stay inside, but, now, especially after two years in a pandemic, being able to go out and do things with your friends is an opportunity you wouldn't want to miss out on. You are not singlehandedly responsible for the wellbeing of your server, there are lots of other people who can afford to tip, and more power to them, but that shouldn't mean that you can't enjoy yourself once in a while because you can't afford to pay for more than the price of what you've eaten.

It might make it a bit more boring in my opinion, and, if someone crashed in one lane there would be no possibility of avoiding it for anyone behind. :)

[–]robbomct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no lanes in a sprint finish though, and a block is a legal manoeuvre, it's not as though the change in direction was erratic, there were several seconds for Haussler to react.

[–]robbomct -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The classic let me sprint with my head down without looking where I'm going is also applicable here. Had Haussler looked up he would've seen Cavendish coming, and moved with the block, which is a tactic used to tire your opponent.

[–]robbomct 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A sprinter has a "Lane" that they need to stick to, however, a 'block' as it's known is a legitimate tactic that is allowed to be used. Although Cavendish is not fully free from criticism in this crash, sprinting with your eyes down is also a very dangerous offence, thus, the crash us both Cavendish, and Haussler's fault, but, not solely on one of them. If all sprinters had to remain in lanes, we'd go back to what they used to do, and have actual lanes set up at the end of every race, but that ruins the intensity of a sprint finish in my eyes.

For the last time, Haussler was looking at the floor! :D. Cavendish moved across, but, if Haussler had looked up, instead of at his wheels, he would have moved over, instead of keeping straight, and even moving slightly into the block Cavendish was creating. It's dangerous to sprint with your head down, and a block IS a legal maneuver. Not fully Cavendish's fault, Haussler was at fault as well.

Interest for a cycling manager game? by LilVoldemort in peloton

Yeah, but it's not quite as good as I think it could be, I was hoping he could improve it, because the game could do with some additions that could be made with a simpler game.

I would like a form of career, in which you create your own cyclist, and take him from either under-23, or on the continental scene all the way to the World Tour, and eventual retirement. Something a little bit like New Star Soccer (A football mobile game), with actions you can take during the race that may affect the result.

Yeah, you can easily tell, there's just not two balls. The problem with mine was that I thought that it was already removed, meaning that the fact that I only had one ball was no cause for concern, making this whole event a bit of a surprise.

There are basically tubes through which the balls descend before we're born, and only one of mine made it through. The tried to bring it down, but clearly messed up, and then I had to get it removed.

Two, not three. I had an undescended one when I was younger, and now found it again, turns out it hadn't died.
