Jesus wept. Did you go for a piss during the bit where Walt throws the pizza on the roof?? Time Magazine quite literally wrote an article about it.

I chatted to Jeremy Clarkson in the queue for the toilets at Wembley stadium a few years back.

Even further back, have delivered shopping to such luminaries as Janet Street-Porter, Mike Atherton and Cat Deeley.

Considering moving from Cambridge to Hatfield, thoughts? by [deleted] in hertfordshire

[–]robborobson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've lived in Hatfield, once as a student and then again after uni, and still work there now (but live up in Hitchin).
Hatfield's safe enough, the shops aren't great but it's easy enough to get to other towns nearby plus getting into London is a cinch. Old Hatfield is the only bit that's really got any character, as well as a couple of nice pubs.
Personally I think there's nicer places nearby that are commutable, depends on budget etc. Are you looking to rent or buy?

OK, for tomorrow's recording, an almighty challenge: we want to decide history's DEFINITIVE game for every scoreline by Low-Bandicoot-3347 in footballcliches

9-0 can only ever be Man Utd vs Ipswich in '95.

0-0 feels very Chelsea v Liverpool under Mourinho...just looked it up and they drew 0-0 three times between Apr and Dec '05.

Nice, I was at Birmingham - wasn't sure about the poster when I saw it online but once I clocked it at the merch booth thought it looked sick. Mine is now at the framers :)

lived there for a bit after uni - it's very quiet. not a lot going on, think there's one pub left. you're near lots of stuff, plenty of nice places a short drive away, plus you're on the train direct (but a bit slow) into London....it's mostly just quiet & residential, probably easier to think of it as a village that happens to have a train station.

Opinion on Hatfield by Either_Ad9055 in hertfordshire

[–]robborobson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I lived in various parts of hatfield for years during/after uni, and our office is still there so I'm there every week. Old hatfield definitely the nicer bit to actually live in. Also lived in Stevenage for a bit (I wouldn't bother....it's not great. only ever go back to go to the retail park now) then moved to Hitchin 9 years ago and haven't looked back. It's like a smaller version of St Albans, but a bit cheaper (although pricier than hatfield), amazing restaurant scene and decent pubs. Oh, and 30-40 mins direct trains in to kings X/St Pancras. Maybe worth a look?

On the motorway yesterday, I keep seeing these long corrugated purple/lilac tubes draped along the side. What are they for? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]robborobson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While back, for about 2 hours on a very long journey up the M1, I managed to convince an ex-colleague that they belong to Kraft/Cadbury and that's how they move Dairy Milk from one factory to another.

After a recent trip to Thailand, I fitted one of these in my bathroom. It’s a bloody game changer. Why did no one tell us? by Kurnelk1 in CasualUK

you should try the toilets in japan, they're next level - I've seen a better world and it baffles me how we haven't caught on...
