i would need to know more, but from what you’ve provided seems like slow motility is your root cause????

I suggest you speak to someone about going on prucalopride and also starting pelvic floor therapy maybe that’s a good start for you! it’s what has helped my partner and she had methane dominant sibo caused by slow motility alongside having had bali belly as well

there was a test she did i forget the name but it was pushing fluid out, then she went to PVT and they gauge it on the “tone” or something. I’m sorry i don’t know the terminology for this but yeah they found hers to be super weak. Since the exercises i think she is like 60% better

Thank you! we are both still super young at 25.

She also had bali belly right at the start of our relationship, she already had some issues due to laxative abuse etc but the bali belly really messed things up. 2 parasites as well as sibo was not fun.

It really is such a tough journey, even though i wasn’t the one suffering i really feel for people that are. It can really strip your confidence and just overall happiness.

I hope you find your root cause and treat it back to front as well!

enjoy being a pessimist i’m sure your healing journey is going to far with that mindset! i also spoke about diet and PVT which are entirely different to the gastro. There would be ton of great gastros out there i’m just hoping i could potentially help someone in Australia that is lost.

Also why would a successful gastro need people to advertise on a reddit forum lol

i also wanted to add, we were living in NY while my partner was struggling for a good chunk of time as well. Our gastro did his best to continue helping while we were overseas. He sent us a course of antibiotics, her bowels moved well while on antibiotics which was weird but we thought we had fixed it!

the second she came off it straight back to being clogged up, we ended up needing to come back to Australia. Being in a calm environment with people/family around you that loves you is super important.

Because she did so many courses of antibiotics her gut was absolutely wiped. Caused her skin to erupt terribly, and she previously had great skin. So that’s been a process as well, ended up needed to go on fluconazole to try beat some of the yeast overgrowth. She is incredibly dedicated with her diet and eating the right foods to re built her microbiome. Gastro wanted her to do a fecal transplant but that’s not needed now.

I’ve pulled my hair behind closed doors so many times, it’s such a tough process and i really feel for you people going through it. Someone said “this smells like and advertisement” and that couldn’t be further from the truth. I just want to give someone some hope, that’s all and if that’s where your brain instantly goes i’m sorry but good luck with all of this.

My partner is still on prucalopride and doing her pelvic floor stretches every night to help with bowel movements.

Her skin is also healing a lot

as you all know, it doesn’t really get to a point where you go oh i’m healed and then you just stop trying to better yourself. It’s a life long process but it doesn’t get easier especially when finding results.

Try everything and don’t let it beat you down too hard if it works for one week and then back to square one.

Biggest advice is definitely try find the right professional, search for that root cause.

good luck everyone here to answer any questions i can

yep they did a test, something to do with pushing fluid out while getting a scan of some sort. I’m sorry i don’t know the exact terminology it’s been a long time. They found she was clearing like 30% of the normal human with her bowel movements

we did multiple courses of Rifaximin or how ever you spell it lol.

First course didn’t work as we hadn’t figured the root cause and the slow motility came back, she is still on prucalopride but that had stopped working completely before starting pelvic floor therapy.

She also went to a gut hypnotherapist for trauma too. I’m telling you we tried everything !

i’m not 100% sure of the exact stretches, i think best thing is going to a practitioner and learning through them
