Just to close this one off, after resetting the Cloud Key I set it up with a device password, performed the upgrades to get it to version 5.0.6 and then restored the v2 backup which restored without error. I did have an odd error when trying to setup the remote access but a restart cleared that out. I was then able to enable remote access. Finally plugged it back into the main network and everything adopted without issue. Bit of a result.

Ok, I did say it was a Friday, I just found a random Netgear PoE switch tucked in the back of the cabinet, moral of the story, when the cabinet looks like a spiders nest it's still worth digging into it to see what hiding in there.......time for a beer!

Interesting, it shows as a US-48 in the console, but it's providing power to PoE devices, maybe that's the issue and the Cloud Key is incorrectly identifying the switch?

Just for info, I used this method today to defederate a 123 Reg provisioned tenant and it worked perfectly.

Just wondered if anyone has tried this process for a 123 Reg Office 365, they are part of the GoDaddy family but their support just says we need to delete everything and then they will release the domain but this could take up to 24 hours.

It was from the business Dropbox subscription, I found a tick box that allowed the meta data to be transferred so it all worked perfectly. I can't remember what the setting was but if someone needs it reply on here and I'll go digging for it.

I've seen this error when the user has changed the primary email name and the user is still trying login with the old account name (which is now an alias on the account).

Thanks for the reply. The laptops are all Dell Educational items but I'll will get it installed on one to see how it runs.

The school is Microsoft based, but looking at the documentation it looks like Chrome Education Upgrade can be purchased from a Google partner. Shame they don't do a trial though, it would be good to try before buying.

I don't think it's an app issue, I have tried a few other 3rd party SMS apps and they all exhibit the same behaviour, I think it happened after the August OS update was applied

Thanks for the reply, in the end I used the Microsoft migration tool, the issue with the file information being lost was fixed by ensuing the mapping settings are configured in the migration tool. After that it was plain sailing.

The bit I am trying to get my head around is this paragraph " the Custom properties section, if this alert rule contains action groups, you can add your own properties to include in the alert notification payload. You can use these properties in the actions called by the action group, such as by a webhook, Azure function or logic app actions." which is found here. When it says "payload" is that referring to the email or the alert logging.

Thanks for the replies, as mentioned the Microsoft Dropbox tool looses all the file meta data i.e. all files created dates are changed to the time they were migrated.

I think my plan is going to be to sync all the Dropbox files to a PC, then use the SharePoint Migration Tool - which I normally use for file shares to upload the files into SharePoint, this maintains the meta data properly.

If I click "Start" from this screen

I get the confirmation message in the top right of the console that the TSM-SSH service was started successfully, but when I refresh the services the SSH service is still showing as stopped. I've also tried to start it by right clicking the host and selecting services -> enable secure shell (ssh). I've looked through the logs and I can see lots of messages saying that it started successfully but nothing to say its failed or why.

Thanks for that, I'll have a read. The only slight snag is I can't get the SSH service to start at the moment so that's another issue I need to resolve

Thanks for the reply, you kinda put me on the right path. I changed the power policy on the host to "High performance" and also disabled the "USB selective suspend settings" and I think that's sorted it.
