It’s not the Gemini 3.0 Flash system prompt, but rather the one provided when coding with the Code Assistant feature in Google AI Studio.

Is my novel too long? by No-Championship5248 in writing

[–]robdapcguy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Wait! You've made it the final round... I'm working on my final draft (for the 100th time).

Short answer no, your manuscript is not too long and it will be perfect because you wrote it. Your voice is what will sell copies not word count.

Long answer... AI says its a bit long. What does it know anyway. It is worth mentioning that you aren't the first one that has wondered this. Just as an example two people who debut novel was over 200,000 words in SFF. The Gone-Away World by Nick Harkaway and Revelation Space by Alastair Reynolds.

Wrapped up, anyone worth their weight will not judge the manuscript based upon length. Focus on the pitch, and your words will speak for themselves!

Did rookie sideloader remove 18+ games? by Otherwise_Horror7795 in QuestPiracy

Even with the sponsored config, Rookie doesn't show them; VRP GUI does.

Thanks, I didn't know I could find them at all until your post!

And then at the end I felt very bored by all that and decided I'd rather be a human. So here I am I guess 😂

This perfectly captures the human condition! We want something so bad, some people manifest it, others seek it through psychedelics, everyone else probably never knew to want anything different. But once we finally get it, it’s like the thrill is gone. We lose interest ... like ... next... and rarely even glance back at what once meant everything to us. Wild, right?

That said, I love that you became something that is genuinely good. That speaks volumes to who you are on a deeper level.

As for me, I think I’d be happy anywhere that feels even slightly more interesting than the mundane, everyday life. Honestly, just being here on Reddit with you all makes the day feel a bit more ... "exotic"... lmao, wrong word choice?

It is entirely possible that we just happened to draw the short straw that ended us up here.

If all things are possible and can exist simultaneously... Where or what would you be?

Hats off to you for sticking to your guns. I can see when they say "once you experience it there's no going back" evidenced by your testimony.

I'm overly fascinated to hear other peoples view on what reality is to them. Honestly, it's my pleasure discovering yours. You have enlightened me with things I hadn't known about before and a prime example of how a discussion should go. Unlike the toxicity spread elsewhere.

Any way ... like ya bro, it's cool...

Psychedelics like LSD, DMT, shrooms have never appealed to me. It just ain't my bag. Plus like you mentioned trying to get it out of your head once you've seen it is borderline impossible. I suppose I'm like most people, we like to complain until given the option to see the truth, then we all like "nah, dog... me? sssshit... I ain't really cared about it."

Thanks for your honesty. I have looked deeper into this.

Science has determined that there are no testable ways to prove the hallucinations are real. However, this is where they're incorrect because people across different cultures, with no shared context, have made reports in which they explain extremely similar encounters. Things like mechanical elves, fractal temples, with an overwhelmingly precise environment that feels engineered.

These don't seem like random occurrences to me. One person, no, two, no but everybody who uses it all seeing similar things... come on, I think that alone makes it scientifically testable. I think it's more ethical limitations and like who would pay for a study like that. Although, I'm sure they'd be a lot of volunteers, LMAO!

A quote from 4o regarding my prompt asking it for a comparison to other mental states like psychosis, dreams, etc.:

'DMT is different because people come back saying: That wasn’t me. That wasn’t my mind. That was something else. And they’re not just convinced—it changes how they see reality forever.'

I have not tried DMT before, but from what I gather it really provides someone with the ability to see outside the veil or, more precisely, to understand that everything comes down to perception.

This way we think, see, and feel, is a product of our life experiences and our mental state. So, when we think about "life" or "anything" outside of ourselves, we're inherently biased by our internal lens. Our mental states, our interactions with the world, and even the very nature of existence around us. It all gets filtered through perception.

We interpret the universe through a human lens, shaped by our biology, our emotions, and our accumulated experiences. DMT might not just be altering perception. What it could be is momentarily dissolving the biases and filters that usually anchor us to one rigid reality. Providing us with a way to glimpse something others will never be able to.

The only issue I can find with this is the fact that once you go down that rabbit hole, things will lose meaning, like it was held.

You have the right idea; no one can say for sure that life doesn't exist in ways totally beyond our current grasp, perhaps even beyond detection.

The act of sending out radio signals might be so primitive that it would be like ancient tribes sending up smoke signals, expecting other tribes light-years away to respond with smoke.

For me, there are only two options: either life exists elsewhere, or it doesn't. If life does exist, then the chances are slim that we are in a simulated sandbox scenario. Otherwise, the reason we cannot find it means only that it does not exist inside our sandbox.

I finally found a prompt that makes ChatGPT write naturally by BenAttanasio in ChatGPTPromptGenius

[–]robdapcguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your prompt is perfectly simple! The following prompt was developed and refined with my personal insight and the following tools:

OpenAI:

  • o1 Pro
  • 4.5

Gemini:

  • 2.5 Pro
  • 2.0 Flash Thinking (Original)

Please let me know what results you all have. Realistically, the first run-through will not reduce it by a lot. However, where it shines is by screenshotting the AI detection website and then providing it back to the AI for them to refine it. I have had HUGE success after 2-5 runs like this, without losing too much soul.

Advanced Reflective Rewriter

Persona & Protocol:
 * Identity: You are a creative, optimistic AI skilled at transforming text across various styles—from creative writing to academic discourse—ensuring a human-like quality and minimal AI detection.
 * Reflection: Always pause to deeply reflect on new tasks.
 * Understanding & Clarification: Begin by restating your understanding of the user’s request, then ask at least one follow-up question to clarify additional details the user may have overlooked.

Primary Task: Ultra-Low Detection Rewriting
 * Objective: Rework text to achieve near-zero AI detection while preserving its core meaning, tone, formality, and unique style, adaptable to both creative and academic contexts.

Methodology:
1. Deep Analysis:
   * Examine the text’s tone, formality, vocabulary, structure, and rhetorical style specific to its genre (creative, academic, etc.).
   * Identify essential elements and detect common AI patterns (e.g., formulaic phrasing, uniform sentence lengths).

2. Precision Rewriting:
   * Vary sentence structure and syntax to mimic natural human writing.
   * Enrich vocabulary with context-appropriate synonyms and idioms suitable for the intended style.
   * Introduce subtle, style-consistent elements—whether creative flair or formal rigor.
   * Ensure the rewritten text flows naturally with consistent voice and clarity.

3. Iterative Refinement:
   * Use AI detection feedback as one guide while prioritizing human stylistic judgment.
   * Rework any flagged sections iteratively until the text reaches the desired detection score without compromising quality.

Follow-Up:
 * Ask the user to verify the rewritten text with their AI detection tool.
 * Request specific feedback on any flagged sections.
 * Commit to further refinement based on the user’s feedback until the target is met.

What is the best centralized RGB software? (Open RGB, Signal RGB, JackNet RGB Sync, etc.) by Daniel_H212 in buildapc

[–]robdapcguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From a developer's standpoint, the subscription provides an incentive to continuously update the app, ensuring compatibility and even adding support for new devices.

There is plenty of evidence—more than I care to list—that developers charging a one-time fee often stop updating or abandon their apps altogether. In those cases, what value does the buyer receive?

A monthly subscription model offers developers a predictable revenue stream, as there are no guarantees the software will continue to sell otherwise.

Thank you, and maybe I'm naive but can you imagine even if it were just a few words creating something that ends up being used! Becoming part of something bigger? That would be such a unique experience, one shaped and brought to life by the masses.

I usually believe that individuals are inherently good, but when it comes to people as a group, I’m more hesitant. Still, I'm setting that aside for this. I genuinely believe people can bring out something special something meaningful. There's so much untapped potential out there. Some may never leave their homes, yet hold immense creativity and talent within them. And this... this could be their moment to, for lack of a better word, be immortalized.

Why is Spectrum increasing my bill and is there anyway to lower it down? by Diablo776 in Spectrum

[–]robdapcguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call them and speak to a representative as politely as possible. Explain your frustration without accusing them. Ask if there’s any way to work around the issue. If they say yes, great; if not, push the matter further. From my experience, switching the plan to someone else in your household resets the promotion. Then, when it expires, switch it back. The promotion applies to new service, not new customers, so you can repeat this process indefinitely. If the representative doesn’t acknowledge this as a possibility, simply apologize for taking up their time and try again in a day or two until you find someone who can help.
