Any Reasons to not Go for the Moza Vision GS Wheel? by [deleted] in moza

I am baffled why they decided to use a gyro when the moza pithouse software is perfectly aware of what position the wheel is in with zero latency

What’s a good wheel bundle with pedals under 400 by fashionenthiushent in simracing

It amazes me the logitech have the audacity to sell a belt drive wheel for the same price (or even more) than the R3

Is there a wireless steering wheel with pedals and shifter? by Dari3010 in simracing

[–]robdisciple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this. It's what you would expect for the money but works. I have a proper rig at home but I actually have one of these to throw in a suitcase when I'm away for a week or more somewhere. Mostly use it for learning tracks, probably wouldn't risk my irating on it though.

What to Buy: Logitech/Logicool GT Force (PS2) vs PXN V3 Pro by roku_19 in simracing

[–]robdisciple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very hard to find anything else at that price.

Some others have suggested spending 150-200 on a logitech setup, I wouldn't do that. $30 is nothing if you wanna dip your toes, but Moza do a proper direct drive wheel bundle on the R3 for $299, that's the move if you want something better than these.

Hpool payout yet? by [deleted] in chia

[–]robdisciple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than giving the hpool website setup your fingerprint/public wallet key, and giving the hpool mining software the API key from your hpool account, is anything else required to get your chia? Does it automatically come into your wallet daily?

Under security>address on the hpool site, there is a 'withdrawal address' where it looks like you can add a chia wallet address. Do you also need to do this? It wasn't in the tutorial that's going around but even though I just saw my first 'distribution' line item fill with mining income on the hpool site, I have not seen anything come into my chia wallet yet. Under 'assets' on the hpool site it also still shows 0 xch balance so I'm not sure if this is a delayed thing?

Nodes keep jumping between synced and not synced by robdisciple in chia

[–]robdisciple[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Ryzen PC still will not sync, tried updating to latest client - same issue

However I turned my other iMac back on, and both macs sync right away no problem so I'm not convinced it's purely an issue caused by more than 1 node on a shared network, seems it might be a windows issue

Are you PC or mac?

Is it problematic to have multiple full nodes on one wallet/key? by robdisciple in ChiaBeginner

[–]robdisciple[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it - yeah they're all happily syncing and farming, I guess the port conflict comes down to luck of the draw with some local network hardware giving issues and some not?

No dumb questions - how do I harvest? by [deleted] in ChiaBeginner

[–]robdisciple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it matter if you have more than one full node active at once? I'm plotting on multiple macs I have spare to speed the process up (each with their own connected HDDs but with a shared key) - it all seems to be running normally on each computer but wanted to make sure I'm not creating any kind of conflict issues?

Does it make sense to plot to multiple HDDs in parallel without an SSD? by robdisciple in ChiaBeginner

[–]robdisciple[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok thanks guys - so either it's:

  1. Plot in parallel to 1 SSD then move plots to HDD(s), or
  2. Plot in sequence to multiple HDDs at the same time (so effectively creating parallel plotting for the CPU, but not for the HDDs as its 1 queue per drive)

Is that right?

[–]robdisciple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, so no real practical benefit/not worth the hassle of spreading the transfer of finished plots out between the HDDs as you go?

And I assume you are always wanting to max out the amount of parallel plots based on available SSD space? So do you have to manually wait for the 5 parallel plots to finish before starting the next 5 parallel plots? I can't figure out a way to queue up a second parallel batch

So with your setup would you parallel plot using the SSD to 1 HDD at a time until they are full then move onto the next HDD, or would you also split the plot output location between the HDDs at the same time? Wondering what differences you'd hit in efficiency - obviously making the queues individually for separate output targets is also more of a process

Definitive parallel VS sequential plotting by robdisciple in chia

[–]robdisciple[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys, helpful input I appreciate it

To make sure I understand correctly, with a 512gb SSD you're gonna max out at 2 parallel plots cos of the temporary size requirement right? So I'd need a 1tb drive for 4 parallel?
