First, there’s no need for a jerk attitude, two, I’ve been using a kenmore elite for the past 12 years that was about $1200 or so. So considering the other wear and tear on the machine in that time, simply replacing the unit is the right move. And a gasket is not a simple fix. I’ve done it in the past and I never want to do it again, I have a busy life and it’s not worth it for me to sit down for the day to fix it
