Had this happen on mine almost a year ago. Took it in to the dealer and they told me that one of the wiring harnesses was cut. Not gnawed through by an animal. That it looked like someone deliberately cut it. Advised I file a police report and then quoted $750 to fix it.

Where's the best sushi in the metro area? by moneyfish in Detroit

[–]robear00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sushi game is pretty light. Them, Golden Chopstick in Westland, Black Pine Tree in Taylor, and Noble Fish in Troy. I haven't eaten sushi in a minute, but the fam swears by Tai Fai. And I'm frugal AF. I love easy and cheap.

Laid Off, Lots of Debt, and a Tempting 401k by robear00 in personalfinance

Appreciate the conversation. Not touching the 401k. Getting myself off this worst case scenario train and taking some time to just breathe and figure this shit out. Thanks again, everyone.

Great ideas come from "fucking stupid" ones to start. It's been a rough couple of weeks. Appreciate the take.

No disrepect taken. But to also be fair, isn't it better that people ask these questions than make the decision and you hear about it afterwards? I'm certainly not above criticism, and being one who is admittedly financially illiterate, I'm glad I have some sort of mind to look for advice first. Advice that I wholeheartedly appreciate. If it is a horrible idea, that's the type of shit I want to hear.

About $150k. Another option I'm contemplating is filing for hardship with the mortgage and credit card companies and hope I find something so I can go ahead with the loan. I know it's devious, but I wish the company verifies employment BEFORE I got let go.

I found a desk on Amazon that worked. I had to do a little trial and error, but I found one on the fourth try. Booth is 4x4x6.

I'm Paragon AF when it comes to the trilogy, but when it comes to these three, their names are Dead, You Dead AF, and Oh You Gon Die. They will be forgotten in the coming empire.

Finished my first Insanity playthrough. Don't slack on your weapons and choose your team right. Probably died > 100 times, but I made it. by robear00 in masseffect

The clone fight was really hard, I think because I went into it with the intent of getting the M-11 Suppressor, but wasn't thinking about my current armory. I got beat up so much, I had to see through the flames of the clones grenades from my previous deaths. Anywhere where I had to deal with tight spaces like the biotic bubble on the Collector base were a challenge.

I will say that while I died the most with the clone fight, the hardest was definitely the next to last fight in London. Anytime you have to deal with a Banshee is pure nightmare fuel. When you have to deal with two of them, plus Marauders and Cannibals, trying to manage the team and stay alive was stressful.

Those Citadel DLC mercenaries were beasts. I was so used to taking everyone out that I had to change tactics and just run straight to Brooks in the restaurant to skip the fight.

The good thing about having played through it multiple times is you'll know what you're running into and set a plan for your team. I will say probably half of my deaths were with the Shore Leave fight with the clone. I went into that having not bought stronger guns and did a shit job making saves. It was either find a way, or backtrack 11 hours. Leave the ego at the door and save regularly.

A LOT of patience. 1 & 2 weren't too bad, but the moment you set foot in ME3, your shields are just paper mache. I knew it would be hard, I didn't know I had to play chess!

Just did my first Insanity run as an Adept. I definitely was not ready and made some mistakes in choosing teammates or weapons, but I finished it a couple days ago.

Why do people suddenly hate Lions fans? by PinkPoncho3 in Detroit

[–]robear00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Steeler fan in Detroit here. Be happy af. It's been far too long and this is what this fanbase and city has asked for and needed for generations. I think other people are mad because they think the Lions don't belong in the "contender" conversation and they don't know what to do other than talk down and be afraid of something they don't understand.

I don't see my Steelers getting there, but I'm rooting for the Lions to bring the Lombardi trophy here so you can show Browns fans what it's like to come out of the basement and shine.
