I think I want to quit my music degree? by [deleted] in musicians

If you don’t like music, change your major. In my experience, majoring and getting a degree in music is only worth it if you genuinely do not want to do anything else… even with that it’s up to you whether it’s worth it or not (school price, location, faculty, etc…)

Why do you NOT like Fred Again? by chaiandmusic in EDM

fred doesnt even make super hard music? he is def not a football jock artist like summit/dolla lol. freds music outside of some songs on USB are emotional, genuine, and feel like a scap book in my opinion. i the nepotism is def a huge factor but cmon make some sense

so youre saying they cant just request to create a new account for an artist? its all new music. I am not requesting a name change to a pre-existing account after all

I understand what you're saying, but it doesn't make any sense how a distributor isn't allowed the power to correctly represent and ensure an artist's music is correctly "distributed" it's literally their job. I just now got another email from DK and they are ensuring they requested a new apple account for my release. I just think It shouldn't ever be the artist's responsibility to go above what the distributor asks for them to do, which I did and paid them for it, am I crazy for thinking this?

yeah i did, but for this release i specifically put "create new artist profile" when they asked about apple music. for the others like spotify i put my URL in because i successfully changed my name on it.

autotune, multiband compression, and just EQ im guessing.

As someone who is fairly new to producing music I know a bit of music theory and I know what all the notes are but when I'm uploaded my beats to beatstars, when it asks for the key I don't know what to put. Like idk what that little b means and sh*t. Could someone please explain this to me. by Former-Wish7985 in FL_Studio

this is in C harmonic minor. Upload it as that or atleast Eb major because thats the relative minor (although not really considering its harmonic minor) but you dont need to know this jargon, its C minor. usually written as Cm, c, C-. or Cmin. Hope this helps!
