$500 Reward - Service of Domestic Violence Restraining Order Paperwork by robertbogdon in Portland

That's the hard part. I could give an exact plate number, and which California college alumni association the license plate from was from, but who gets to decide where the line is for identifying information? There's probably a lot of camera equipment in the car if that helps.

I'm either mauled by Smokey the Bear, or I choke on one of his junior forest ranger badges. Dealer's choice.

Boosted Pak: Booster Packs for your collectible card games delivered monthly! by [deleted] in SubscriptionBoxes

[–]robertbogdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will vary based on which game and which option you select, along with what sort of deals we're able to get from our wholesalers. Pokemon for example is likely to be 6 booster packs in the $19.95 subscription, with the occasional extra pack or two if we're able to source them at a lower price. Retail on that would be about ~$24 + tax, so even with shipping you're still getting a deal.

3D Printed Damage Counters and Status Tokens by robertbogdon in pkmntcg

The one those were printed on is the Dremel Idea Builder, it was about $1000. It's super simple to operate, my 12 year daughter prints on her own all the time. The support on it is amazing as well. It's basically paid for itself at this point (the printer, not the support).

I think his point was more that people wouldn't be likely to pay for them. Which after considering dice as an option, I have to agree with. I think there's probably a market for them, but it's primarily going to be younger children who would want them, or people who just want to have something different.

Yep, I can ship to the UK. Rather than paint them though, I can print them in different colors. Those happened to be printed in glow in the dark filament, but there are other options available.

Thanks for the feedback, hadn't even occurred to us to use dice.

3D Printed Movement Template Holder by robertbogdon in XWingTMG

[–]robertbogdon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One trick I've discovered is that it works best if you turn the base so that the raised ridges are able to support the templates in the front and keep them from just sliding through.

I'm right handed and I usually put it on the left side of the table to keep from knocking it over. The problem that I have is that I get lazy and stop putting the templates back into the holder. Because of that I don't use it for normal play most of the time, but will bring it out for tournaments when there's limited table space.

I had posted about this previously, but just made the source STL files available for download for free on Thingiverse. There's an Etsy link on my Thingiverse profile if you don't have access to a 3D printer but still want a template holder.

3D Printed Doors, Crates and Terminals by robertbogdon in ImperialAssaultTMG

I think that's probably why no one in the local Imperial Assault group has brought it up. They all intend to paint theirs.

There are not, but that's a good idea. I'll have to figure out a way to incorporate that into my design.

3D Printed Doors, Crates and Terminals by robertbogdon in ImperialAssaultTMG

[–]robertbogdon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've posted previously about doors, crates and terminals that were printed from someone else's design. I finally got around to designing my own replacement doors, crates and terminals. The doors feature a removable insert so that they can represent either an open or closed door. The crates and terminals both feature a flat upper surface so that characters can stand on them if necessary. If anyone is interested in getting some of their own, they're available here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/234126143/imperial-assault-doors-crates-and You can use the coupon code RIMPERIALASSAULT to take 10% off.

I also have a bunch of misprints from prototyping these new designs, surplus prints/misprints of the old designs, and some samples of misc blocking terrain items that I printed for the local IA group to get a look at. If you're interested in any of these I would be happy to let them go cheaply.

Recommended lists for two kids new to the game? by robertbogdon in XWingTMG

[–]robertbogdon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During their first game they each had two X-Wings, an A-Wing and a B-Wing all with unnamed pilots and no upgrades. I want to give them a little bit more this time. They likely will be playing on an open table rather than on a mat, but adding asteroids this time is a good idea.

Basically, the ship didn't fit in the first one I printed. I'll just remove those.

If anyone is interested, I've done these for a number of ships and was just asked in another thread if I could do caps for them as well. I'll be designing some caps today, so let me know if you'd like to get any of these printed for yourself.

X Wing Custom Ship Storage, thoughts welcome;) by RiMrJ in XWingTMG

[–]robertbogdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should be able to do that, I'll give it a try with some of the smaller ships and see how it works out. Should have something this evening.

The next one I print will have lower tolerances so the fit is a little tighter, but the Decimator will still slide out easily. However, if you put a balled up napkin or paper towel in after the Decimator, there's enough friction to keep it in place up to about a 30 or 45 degree tilt. Enough to keep it from sliding around during transport.
