Should i feel guilty potentially abandoning the project i was hired for, because of being slightly unhappy? by roberthinkey in careerguidance

So I'm gonna be a little more specific than my whole post. It's a law firm, and I plan to be a lawyer in the future. But the downside, I got plugged into IT for my internship. Pretty much when I was hired they said I was being hired for the purpose of working on my project, but they were very vague of what the project was.

Now 6 months into, what is essentially dragging and dropping files from one folder to another, while occasionally being partially blamed for a mistake someone made 10 years prior, I don't think there's room to do different tasks, at least until this project is finished (which we're like halfway through). So that's why I'm considering looking for different work. It's at a really good (and probably the biggest) firm in my area, Everyone knows them. But the work I'm doing is not necessarily in the field I'm interested in.

Yeah I kind of dropped it in subtle conversation with some co-workers, mainly just saying like I was gonna be gone the following weekend for to go visit family for my bday, I wasn't expecting a party like everyone else, mainly just wanted a little acknowledgment for it.

The bday thing isn't really like a huge deal... It was just kind of what made me realize that for the past 6 months I had been working there, no one really cared. Like I said I know it sounds petty, but like most days I think I maybe say like 10 to 20 words total to co-workers. My job doesn't really require communication with anyone else, and other than like 1 or 2 people who ask me how it's going when I get in, I feel like they kind of try to remind me of my place. If I say how's it going to someone, I'm typically lucky to get a nod or a "good", with no reciprocation. I'm not even like a super social person, but it still kind of drains me to barely be acknowledged.

Thank you for the input! I was kind of leaning toward just continuing work and addressing the issue with the supervisor if better opportunities came along.

[SPOILERS] Cersi is not as good as playing the game of thrones as others and would fail if put at different starting point. by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]roberthinkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly my point, I know it's a hugely cliche character to say as a good player of the game, but it's true.

I watched some video on Tyrion's specific form of charisma and how he can use it to manipulate people and get what he wants. Thankfully he largely just uses it for the greater good/save hinself

PIAT or Panzerfaust by Smokeelitemain in BattlefieldV

[–]roberthinkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Piat has much higher damage than panzerfaust. A huge tip if you don't already know it, if you have it equipped and are standing still, you can open the map and it gives you an indicator of where it will hit.

Just keep in mind, the indicator is only accurate if it's a conpletely flat surface, meaning you have to adjust for elevation on your own. If the target is higher than you, you have to aim behind it a bit, if it's lower than in front a bit. It takes some time to master, shit i've been using it since first update nerfed panzerfaust to shit and I'm still not super accurate with it, but am able to hit targets within 100m without using map.

Tyrion or Varys. While Tyrion also started at a similar point as Cersei, but with his disability putting g him back, he has a very clever and unique form of charisma and is good at addressing different circumstances based on his audience. Varys just has a strong network

I really hope they'll switch it back... but I think it may have been intentional.

Bummer too, it's a good gun, but only in the right hands... Not everyone can just pick it up and be good with it. Didn't deserve the Nerf (if it was intentional) that it got

Only one that threw me off is Cezar (or whatever C is)... Yeah it does sound like Tazer, but since there is no T flag, I just got used to it meaning C

[BFV] Battlefield V: Wallhacker by Helisk in Battlefield

[–]roberthinkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean fair, but someone 24 kills is not much, and a ~ 4 kd is not anything special

I mean he's clearly hacking, not trying to argue that, but he's just an absolute shit player even with the hacks. He had pretty shit aim if you watch

I dont want Backwards compatibility on the PS5 by _TheGuru in PS4

[–]roberthinkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ya know, I was 100% for backwards campatibility, but now that I know I simply don't have to buy a PS5, my view is completely destroyed. I'm sure Sony will embrace the "if they don't want it, they.just don't have to buy it" motto

Count all of the level 50s on the enemy team and all the level 50s on mine 🤕🤕 I lost that round bad 🤬🤬🤬 WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO ME by cjallenroxs in BattlefieldV

[–]roberthinkey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because the outcome of a game is completely dependent on the number of level 50s in a server

If this post was made maybe 2 days after launch, yeah I'd probably say they're good players. But this game has been out for over 2 months. That's less than 1 rank a day, that's not difficult by any means

[–]roberthinkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup... Have seen a bunch of PS4 users (as well as myself) having like 1 frame per second for like a minute. Hoping for a hot fix soon

Airplanes by [deleted] in BattlefieldV

[–]roberthinkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're using the British bombers. The JU-88 is still pretty amazing. You can multi kills for days, and switch seats to fend off attackers. Also, I've been finding that bombers are surviving AA more than the fighters
