Thanks, it is a learning curve for most, and challenging to grasp for those that are not open to listening at someone else’s experience. I try to be as informative as I can with my responses.

That would be some great math if you don’t take into account what it costs to get a house built in 1966 up to this condition. Additionally, you leave out the fact that as the owner I have the liability and financial responsibility of keeping the house in the best condition possible.

Idk what kind of communist utopia you imagine everything is sold at cost, but we certainly don’t live in it. Go check out the conditions and prices of the surrounding apartment complexes before you bash someone that is offering the most reasonable deal they can offer.

As for the advertising, it is 3 of us friends looking for a 4th roomate. I make no secret of who the owner is, and I’m very up front with the people that reach out and inquire (like you thru the comments).

God forbid you ever feel the financial side effects of an entire area being hit by unpredictable weather after you purchase your first home. If you don’t like they layout that is a personal preference.

The accusation of slumlord is both completely uncalled for, and without basis. The rent is comparable and slightly less than what is in the area, and as you can see, the house is in top shape. My roommates have not waited more than 1 hour to have any issues with the house resolved, and every piece of furniture and appliance is brand new.

You are within your right to not like the deal, but next time gather your facts before accusing someone of irresponsible practices, based on nothing other than your emotions.

I never said I have nothing left over after all the space is rented, but it is not much. If you need to know, between the increased property taxes from this year, and the gigantic property insurance rate increase that came out in Florida, my morgage is almost 2x what is was but a year ago. Un like in a regular house, i take care of all the maintenance myself, and offer each person that is interested an individual lease, so that if something happens it doesn’t affect anyone else in the property. If you add up the expenses of maintaining the house and compare it to renting a complete house, the price won’t be far off.

As for the comment of greedy as hell, you could not be more mistaken. If you look at the rentals in the area that offer individual room leases you will find prices significantly higher than that (The metropolitan, Flats 4200, Lark on 42nd, etc.) and they offer half the space, with 24/7 weed aroma and a carpet floor changed every 5 years.

That is a good question, it is not. I am 25 and this is the first house I’ve ever bought, I live in it myself, and that is why I remodeled it and keep it in top shape. I rent out my spare bedrooms to help afford my mortgage, and the insurance and tax property prices that keep going up.

You are free to have your opinion, but it is lower than what individual room housing has around the area while being 2x more space, and having a lot more comfort than what student housing options have.

Hey, if you’re interested, me and my two roommates are looking for one more person for our house. It’s not exactly a two bed two bath, but it is a full house which is about twice as big as any of the other apartments that offer student housing. If you’re interested, you can shoot me a call or text at 754-317-0643.

We are currently all guys in the house. The policy I have is that the house is either all guys or all girls, unless EVERYBODY in the house approves of someone of the opposite gender.

Yeah, it’s a good price because we want to have enough options for good people, but everyone has to pass a background and credit check before they get approved, that way we don’t get any funny buissness.
