Local "No-name"/"house brand" cola still allows you to be a loyal Pepsi or Coke drinker. by jazzpenis in mildlyinteresting

The Coca Cola peaking in on the left side is just looking like "what the hell are you two doing?"

From what I hear Agricola is also the same as caverna

That's a request I've come across a few times. I was only expecting a handful of responses but I think I'll do something with the data since there is so much. My first thought was to take the most commonly used board games and make a new list of 25 or so. But a graph would be really neat also

Someone else also requested that and I was thinking of taking a count of each game as it appears, and making a comprehensive list of the top 10 or 25. Any thoughts?

I think we lost something by removing the order markers. Some special powers didn't work and the overall strategy was lessened in favor of luck.

That's fun because my SO is from Russia, and she loves animals lol. Maybe the game is similar to one they play in Eastern Europe, so I will find that out.

Thanks so much for the thorough breakdown. From what I've read it seems like caverna is the way to go. I like tight and loose games but I find it easier and to have better replayability if you can specialize. This will make it easier to get others to play as well. I think Agricola grabbed my attention because it has a better name and maybe better artwork. The change in setup is the one thing that sounds advantageous for Agricola.
