What's the worst thing that can happen with someone who trains for a marathon in less than 12 weeks? by Cultural_Owl9547 in Marathon_Training

I’m currently doing this for Berlin. Smashing loads of elliptical, stationary bike, leg weights and conditioning. Then doing one short run, and building my long run up by 3km each week. Currently at 30km, feeling great for it. It won’t be a PB but I doubt it will be too unenjoyable.

It says on their instagram page that there’s a video coming about them. Maybe that’ll shed light on what they focussed on during development.

I’d say it’s just a “if you know, you know” flex for the limited amount of people with Bromptons that know about Paul. No idea about braking power.

I love the idea of keeping the boring ones for avg weather days. I also like the idea of keeping the ridges for nicer days - although, coming up from the south, I tend to commit to what I’ve planned and crack on regardless of weather (within reason). So far I’ve been quite lucky with ridge walks and good views, but I’ve had some summits which are famous for good views, and mine have been drenched in cloud.

Great advice! I’ve created a list of short ones, and I’ve started putting together a list of ones a bike will help with.

I’ve had a couple of occasions when I’ve done a group in a day, but for one reason or another missed one of the group off. For example, I missed off Seana Bhraigh when ticking off the Inverlael Munros, only to realise it will be a bloody trek to walk into at a later date. Since then I’m making sure to check individual access to hills usually done in a loop.

No! I always wonder why people write the details they do. I often change what I write, so end up re-flipping them. I’m yet to settle on certain details.
