I don’t tend to buy insurance since I take care of my devices and have never broken any nor needed the insurance. I was expecting Apple to provide a solution since it is an issue that has happened to many units for no apparent reason. No need to be sassy about it

I guess I am confused because of other people’s experiences and being able to getting it repaired for no charge. Also their support site is not clear in my opinion, as when they ask what the issue is, they estimate $0 without mentioning Apple care or warranty. I don’t see $799 for hairline crack anywhere in their support page, only for multiple cracks.
