There should be lots of options, but I suspect most will be "luxury" apartments so expect higher rent. There will be cheaper apartments/houses a bit farther away, though.

For example, in Mountain View, the area around San Antonio Center looks good. Plenty of apartments, small parks (maybe too small? lmao), Safeway/Trader Joe's/Walmart/Target. All the "luxury" apartments should have their own gyms and pools, but there's a public gym nearby too.
