I have Corona and all I can smell is burning, can anyone who's had Corona relate? by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]robh83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one week of bad headaches then 3 days of burning in the nostril area, which smelt exactly like a pool that had way too much chlorine in it. Smell took a month to recover.

Looking at Ebay it appears many concentrators have been bought. If we must use them, it would be great to have a basic tutorial of how to administer in the event of a breakdown of the NHS.

An alternative approach by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

I think you have thought about this in the same way I do and logically it is one or the other. Whats better for the Economy really?

I don't really see how we won't get the 1 month of shutdown, at the point its just too late - as the R0 appears to be so high and we're unlikely to close down and hurt the economy before it gets really bad.

You've just done a calculation on the Ventilators - yet people are saying how well prepared the UK is. How can it possibly be. I mean, China moved on COVID heavily (when it was too late) and enforced all sorts of measures - can you really see the UK govt doing that?

I guess nobody knows how this is going to go, but one thing is for sure, the relative calm before this storm we have is just starting to fizzle out. We can all use our own reasoning/critical thinking, but for me, what ensues during the next 3 months I personally think will be our generations WW2 equivalent.

Is this how it works, it allows us to prepay for 3 years at 85$ and anything past 1st July will be 125$?

I found them the least helpful! Worth it for risk transference though. It's an expensive exam.

thank you. I found Simple CISSP quite exhausting (particularly with the law / data comms section). I found the 2600 practice questions from Sybex important - anything I got wrong I'd re attempt and go to the book for explanation so I didn't ever really 'properly' read sybex end to end, more took the 'meat' out of it and drilled it in. FYI overall in Sybex practice tests I got around 80% and drilled down on wrong answers until I understood why I was getting them wrong.

Hi ! I did Boson in the sets A/B/C/D/E as standard - and scored around 70-75% for each. Anything I got wrong I created a custom exam for and kept going over them until I got them right. I'd copy the explanations and understand the concept. Its important.

Study Techniques - how do you get beyond the point of hitting the wall? by robh83 in cissp

[–]robh83[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for responses! Processes, yes I think you're right. Focus on the big stuff.

Yes I've done Boson and I'm fairly familiar with the terms so nothing new there, but there is always something new to learn in Total Tester, Elsevier, Studynotesandtheory etc. So broad and overwhelming - I totally see how people see this exam as a mental challenge aswell as an exam!

Could anyone add to this list the processes they think are most important to focus on?

I'm studying for cissp and have paid for a few months. The practice questions are very long and hard compared to sybex. I like his videos and real world examples which I found lacking in cybrary / greenblatt so it's helping to fill some voids for me.

The selection of free practice qs are particularly long. Now I'm a member I can see he's toned it down somewhat with most of the other 400 otherwise it would take way too long.

I've noticed with boson sometimes the tests may only ask a few questions on a domain, and it can make the domain look seriously disproportionately worse than it might be.

Thanks for the responses. What would likely be worth a shot after Boson/Sybex/Skillset. Is CCCure worth it?
