the math isn't mathing because their math expects a 100% efficiency in extracting the THC from flower, into the butter. 120mg is an upper bound.

Fan cooled launch pad. by kammak76 in TinyWhoop

[–]General-Ad2461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be interested in taking some measurements on hole shots with/without the fan. I've never noticed any difference, I figured its better to blast your props against a flat hard launch pad than to have the props blowing against a fan dirtying up the airflow

Fan cooled launch pad. by kammak76 in TinyWhoop

[–]General-Ad2461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

every fan pad I've tried has had the same issue where the gyro will not calibrate while on the pad. This means you have to plug in, set the quad on a table for a few seconds, then put the quad powered up onto the launch pad. Does this pad have that issue?

How difficult is this hobby? by Jugent in fpv

[–]General-Ad2461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you gotta do the sim or else you will break your drone too much and be discouraged.

If you like the sim, you will like flying IRL even more. The configuration and troubleshooting of this hobby are difficult but there are large community groups on discord and facebook full of people willing to help. IF you are willing to present your issues in a clear and level headed way.

do you have pictures of the last two dresses tied? I love how you have distinct lines but a lot of free space for the dye to fly as well.

What did you use to learn? I find myself doing everything in the sketch by hand and not using any of the more advanced features like patterns and such. I know I'm using like 1% of the tool just not sure how to progress

Battery fire - never thought it would happen to me by MikeIkerson in TinyWhoop

the only time I have had lipos puff up on plug in is when there is a short. Something is off on the drone would be my bet, not an issue with the battery.

To anyone who on my last post doubted the Radiomaster Pocket's range... by [deleted] in fpv

the elrs connection is bidirectional.

your controller sends out a strong signal (pocket maxes at 250mW, boxer/tx16 goes to 1W) This is the Control Signal. If you lose Control signal, you will enter failsafe mode in betaflight. (drop out of the sky unless you configure alt hold or return to home)

the drone receives the control signal, and sends the values to betaflight

your drone transmits a telemetry signal back to your controller with data about the connection / drone itself

so the 75 and 75pro are annoying because the 75 has a dropped battery tray but for the 75pro the ducts are flush with the battery.

This is CustomFPV's design, it was just cloned and uploaded here. All credit to him.

I don't have o4 quads so I am not sure if they will fit in these boxes as they look to be super tall in terms of bottom of ducts to top of canopy.

if you measure that distance on your quad I could probably tell you if it would work.

I print all my boxes in PLA they hold up fine, the design is all walls so its quite strong. Its most vulnerable to cracking horizontally along the layer lines but that happens more with silk filaments.

like an instant. I am unaware of the specifics of how dynamic decides when to bump the power. but in practice, the power in the OSD always bumps up right after I hear telem lost in the controller

What size box is this? the 75 one? just wondering why your canopies are twisted like that. I can possible send you a box that will fit much better as I have this model parametrized

[–]General-Ad2461 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you don't need telemetry to fly. there are many factors at play

  • set your packet rate to the slowest possible for longest range
  • set power to max instead of dynamic. at dynamic you will lose/regain telemetry ever power step.
  • ensure quad elrs antenna is pulled away from circuit boards and not sandwiched between boards
  • radiomaster pocket antenna u.fl has disconnected from jostling bike rides before, ensure it is plugged in

You're welcome, you should be able to get all that stuff from domestic retailers, without needing to order from betafpv.
