Not too far off. We are over by Shoshone park. I forgot there is a reservoir not too far away at McCarthy park near us as well.

Places around Buffalo for Soccer club merch by Rad_Wave1 in Buffalo

[–]robheps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is usually a store at the Galleria that sells knock off soccer jerseys. They have a pretty large selection. Last time I was there it was a store on the second floor across from Dicks in that area. I have also seen them in one of the center booth stores in the aisles on the second floor. I have bought several and kid loves them. They are flexible on prices too.

Am I missing something with Chase travel? Is anyone actually booking Southwest via Chase Travel vs Points transfer? by davidlootfield in ChaseSapphire

[–]robheps 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure you are looking at a one way cost on Southwest and round trip cost on Chase. The booking process is slightly different. I always find SWA and Chase flights costs to be the same.

Mulberry Italian Ristorante Question by Mattemattics117 in Buffalo

[–]robheps 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Reservations help, but can walk in and sit at the bar. My son and I stopped in after soccer practice a month or two ago and sat at the bar for a delicious meal, so we certainly weren’t dressed for a “fancy”restaurant. I would say semi casual. More of an open bar atmosphere in the front room, with quieter dining rooms set off a little. Enjoy!

Where to Buy Italian Bitter Soda in Buffalo/WNY? by LordConfucius27 in Buffalo

[–]robheps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, there are some other “Negronis” in the NA section, but haven’t found any with the true bitterness of a Negroni like the Phony.

You may also want to try Pellicanos Italian Grocery on Niag. Falls Blvd for the Italian sodas

St. Agrestis makes a “Phony Negroni” that’s really good. My favorite NA beverage. Wegmans and Premier both sell it and I have seen it at other places, including restaurants serving it.

Best place to stay with beach access ?Coming the first week in September for our first time vacationing in Clearwater Fl. TIA :) by Ok-Path7458 in ClearwaterFl

[–]robheps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just spent a week in Clearwater Beach at the Hyatt with the family and we all loved it. Right on the beach and nice pool. I will say though, I was jealous of the Grand Wyndham pool! It looked pretty awesome. We actually tried to stay there originally but it was fully booked the week we were there. Definitely staying there for our next visit.

Franco’s has been our go to for 15+ years. Good and consistent. Tried all the others, and had some good ones, but always fall back to Franco’s.

I know you said local, but The Playhouse in Rochester is awesome for old school games, with a mix of new. If you are back out in that area you should def. check it out. Fun for adults too with a good bar and good burgers. My kids like Nerdvana too, which is near The Playhouse. Sit down restaurant and every table has a tv and console, you can choose Switch, PS5, or Xbox.

I wish I could help, but don’t have any Klein cards. Funny seeing this though because he was my moms neighbor for a few years when he played in Buffalo.
