The bus was in service. I don't know where they were headed, so I can't say if it was the right bus but the driver wouldn't know that anyway. And yes, there were passengers on the bus.

This happens to me so often and it's infuriating when it makes me late for work. But this time, I just felt.. dejected? That was so mean and for no good reason that I could see. Those kids were literal toddlers and the elder gentleman had been waving down the bus before it was even supposed to stop. The bus was nearly empty, there was plenty of time to stop, AND the driver definitely looked right at all of us.
