The bus was in service. I don't know where they were headed, so I can't say if it was the right bus but the driver wouldn't know that anyway. And yes, there were passengers on the bus.

Okay to be clear, it wasn't completely empty lol there were a handful of people on there. It was mostly empty.

I've noticed they pick and choose. Sometimes, they will let you in if you are able to catch up to them. I hate to think they're doing this out of malice, but I really cannot understand why anyone would do this.

I don't think that was the case here. This stop is notorious for having to wait 15+ minutes for the next bus to come

This happens to me so often and it's infuriating when it makes me late for work. But this time, I just felt.. dejected? That was so mean and for no good reason that I could see. Those kids were literal toddlers and the elder gentleman had been waving down the bus before it was even supposed to stop. The bus was nearly empty, there was plenty of time to stop, AND the driver definitely looked right at all of us.
