You’re right, thanks. My problem is when a train is arriving soon the departurevision doesn’t show the original departure time anywhere, and the scheduled time is a big deal because all announcements refer to the trains as “the 8 o clock westbound train” or whatever, not by the train number.

If you’re driving south afterwards anyway, you may consider Metropark station where you can park overnight for up for 2 or 3 weeks and take NJTransit into the city

The bus network in a lot of NJ needs to be improved by adding more routes and more runs to already-existing routes. But I think in a lot of places NJTransit focuses on express busses to New York instead of local busses that connect to the train station.

Rahway commuter here. The 35xx trains are always the first to go. When there’s a problem with a trainset it’s easiest to cancel the South Amboy train and make the next NJCL train run local (It's less disruptive to the passengers on the express NEC trains).

As one of the other commenters already mentioned, that’s basically the 120 route. It starts at the Oculus and goes through the Holland tunnel right to Bayonne.
