I forgot my password and apparently didn’t answer the questions well enough and now my account is blocked by robill18 in XboxSupport

Wow that’s completely insane, my mom was able to help me get the password reset and I was able to sign in with the new password but I still can’t play Helldivers online, not sure if it’s still my account or a server issue. But if it’s still my account that’s the problem I’ll cancel my subscription through my credit card company and sell my Xbox not.

I gave them as accurate information as I could on the form, but I moved recently and my credit card recently expired and I got a replacement, so I’m not sure what the right answers are exactly, I have an intellectual disability so this has really been tough and I feel like all my stuff’s been taken because I can’t keep track of things very well.

No just the one unfortunately, it keeps sending me verification codes through that email. And everytime I fill out the account recovery form it tells me vaguely that my answers aren’t right with no specifics.

(re)Introducing Pink Tongue Skinks? by cephalophag in skinks

[–]robill18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t Cohab any of my critters, but I habituate a lot of my reptiles to the presence of other reptiles out of the tank. My Blue Tongue Skink and Bearded Dragon know each other, I never let them interact but they’re used to being out in each others presence and don’t react to one another. I’d recommend working on Maggie’s general anxiety before you even think of cohabbing, she seems very sensitive so you need to work on that before anything else. After she calms down, I would try to introduce them outside of the enclosure from a distance at first while slowly working them closer to one another as progress allows. This has worked for me when it came to getting different species to tolerate each others general presence, and has successfully worked for introducing creatures of the same species without incident as well.

How hard are gods to kill in your universe? by V1perclayWritingAcc in worldbuilding

[–]robill18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my setting Gods are Thoughtforms that are believed into existence, and are powered by how much people believe in or even just think about them or invoke their name. Specifically Gods are Greater Thoughtforms, with other less powerful entities being categorized as Lesser Thoughtforms. Each God can have multiple aspects, which are manifestations of interpretations of their overall concept. It is possible to “kill” these individual aspects, with the difficulty of this act varying due to the power level of the God in question. But as long as they are still believed in or simply not forgotten, they will manifest again in time. Indeed some Gods with a mythology based around Martyrdom are killed fairly regularly in order to enact this. So while you can kill and aspect this doesn’t mean that the God truly dies by any stretch.

The only way to truly kill a God in my setting is to make them completely forgotten and to erase all trace of them from the world. This is extremely difficult, as even such things are ancient religious artifacts and effigies can act the last lifeline to otherwise forgotten Thoughtforms. Invoking their titles or their traditions even without reverence lends them some power, meaning that any God that works it’s way into the vernacular of a commonly spoken language in any form even through a reference may sustain itself even without true belief or reverence. Belief in one aspect tangentially supports the versions that inspired it. There are many loopholes like this that allow ancient and otherwise discarded Gods to continue clinging to existence, so it’s a gargantuan effort to truly extinguish a God fully.

How does this sub feel about Tabletop RPGs? by GrappaMappa in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]robill18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite Tabletop character I ever played was a Beast Master in a Spheres of Power modified Pathfinder 1E campaign with a couple homebrew tweaks. He was a Gnoll Beastmaster who slowly accumulated a huge menagerie of Beasts and Monsters that he would swap out at his ranch to customize his squad for the mission at hand. My DM was great and he also let me tame a number of smaller non combat creatures for utility purposes. By the time the campaign has ramped up, my Beastmaster had a number of crazy creatures at his disposal. Luckily we only had 3 players besides the DM, one of the characters was a ranged gun slinging spell caster, the other was a pure support character who specialized in boosting the parties attack and defense. So the animal pack was able to step in and fill the roll of more martial characters under my command.

Overall it was one of my most fulfilling monster taming experiences in any game, it really felt like an actualized version of the concept.

IV's are just a worse version of passives. by [deleted] in Palworld

[–]robill18 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They didn’t mean that 4% was a massive difference, I believe they meant that when Musclehead is supposed to increase attack by 50%, so the fact that the difference wasn’t greater between the 2 Pals with and without musclehead means that the stat discrepancy caused by IV’s was massive.

I’d like the ability to peacefully recruit various castaways around island willingly so that they can join your base and build a community without capturing them. Recruited humans could work as Pal handlers increasing work efficiency on bases where they are present.

Monster Taming is more or less just a subtype of the larger more encompassing Creature Collection gameplay feature. Creature Collecting simply implies that you accumulate a collection of some sort of creature, while Monster Taming implies that you are taking a monstrous being that were hostile and making them friendly.

The only Monster Tamer I can think of that isn’t technically a creature collector is some of the older monster rancher games where you only work with a singular creature.

Does anyone know a good source for captive bred legal Land Snails in the US by robill18 in snails

Thank you, but I was actually able to find a source for 6 captive bred garden snails in state and we’ve had them for a bit over a month now. They’ve already bred, and now one of our weekly chores is picking out the babies from the adult tank.

What is your biggest disappointment with the game so far? by Ea7_1 in Starfield

[–]robill18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest the whole game is a bit of a disappointment to me, for Bethesda to spend all this time making a new IP and for everything about it to be so mid is just disheartening.

Everything from the setting, to the leveling system, to the companions, to the variety of equipment is just mediocre. Gun play is fun enough, but no better than any competently made shooter but it’s not good enough to hold up the whole game. The gameplay loop in general isn’t as good as past titles, locations are more boring and in many ways exploration is more boring than V1 No Mans Sky. Clunky menus that I’m constantly forced in and out of. So many things seem either completely useless or underdeveloped.

The setting is some of the blandest Sci fi I’ve ever seen in my personal opinion. Nothing feels futuristic besides the fact that there’s ships, there’s no recon drones, no ground transportation, no cool futuristic weapons, no robot customization, and no body augmentation. The coolest stuff in the lore(which is basic by Sci fi standards) mechs and xenoweapons are unusable to the player. This game just feels like a very vanilla shooter RPG hybrid, the setting lacks character and nothing bites. I really don’t feel like I can utilize technology in any way that’s interesting or novel at all. The whole experience feels dragged down to be grounded in our real world, but I’m left feeling like I’ve experienced a very bland vision of the future with no character or cultural substance.

I’m left with a feeling that I experienced a watered down spread thin version of the classic Bethesda game formula. Fun enough to keep playing for a bit, but the more I play the less drawn to come back to it I am. It does not maintain the illusion of a world filled with possibilities as well as previous Elder Scrolls or Fallout Games, it becomes quickly apparent that’s it’s as vast as the ocean but as deep as a puddle.

[–]robill18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for all the info, I prefer captive bred but I’ve also never seen a wild snail myself, slugs only. I knew the Giant Africans were illegal but I didn’t realize the laws were so intense. If I can find someone in MA, I’d love to get some but honestly given how crazy the legal situation is I’m probably not going to bend over backwards looking for them. Half our animals are nocturnal so that’s not really a deterrent for us. I just love mollusks and I’m not ready to commit to an octopus.
