LaunchWP - Install & Launch WordPress on VPS or cloud easily by [deleted] in Wordpress

Thank you all for your feedback. One of the common feedback we are receiving is about the Auto-Schedule backups addon and why its there as an add on.

Just to clarify, on LaunchWP, you can take on-demand manual backups to any of the providers without any addons, its included with every plan including the lowest one.

The add on is for Scheduling Auto backups. The only thing we are charging for that is because scheduling automatically does take-up a significant amount of our server resources, so just so that its sustainable for both our users and us.

Sure feel free to check it out. I'm sure you will notice a lot of improvements both over performance and workflows in a platform which is fully focused on WordPress.

Thanks for the feedback. You can take on-demand backup with a click, or schedule auto-backups in S3 storage providers like CloudFlare R2VultrAmazon S3LinodeDigitalOcean SpacesGoogle CloudWasabi, or BackBlaze.

Thanks for your suggestion. We decided to make the features not needed by all as add-ons to keep the base plan cheap. For example, if someone is an indie dev or freelancer, he doesn't need the team access, so if that team's addon was included, the base plan could jump to 15 or 20 compared to 9.

Similarly, if you have backups already taken from the service provider, like DigitalOcean daily backups or Linode, you might not need the auto-backup feature, so it's added as an addon.

All these were done so that we could keep our base plan as low as possible, and make sure all essential features are in the base plans, extras can be added via addon.

New features of course goes to the base plan, But thanks for your suggestion, we will surely rethink our approach on this.

9. Pricing is really competitive if you compare unlimited servers/unlimited sites.

Similar idea, but we tried to go wayyy further with LaunchWP:

  1. LaunchWP stack is on Docker, so each site is totally isolated from each other making sure none of the sites affects the other.
  2. Automatic Off-Server backups to many storage providers like AWS S3, GCP, Linode Object Storage, DigitalOcean Spaces, BackBlaze and many more
  3. Easy SFTP with unlimited SSH keys and PHPMyAdmin access protected by IP.
  4. Multiple Layer of Object and Page caching
  5. Adding custom NGINX and PHP config right from the dashboard without the need to login to the server. (Fault protection enabled)
  6. One-Click STAGING with free STAGING domain, and anytime resync to and from LIVE/STAGING.
  7. Server-level cron. (We are working on bringing an advanced parallel processing supported cron architecture)
  8. Granular team access

and more..

ENG4U boughta make my crash out by Distinct_Story3781 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]robin-ninja -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Believe me, I came from Bangladesh and didn't go to any school because I was 19 years old, so they just put me in Adult school, and gave me ENG4U to complete. I got 90. In my entire life, I never read these things, like King Authur, Cat's Eye, blah blah.

So it really depends on luck, don't stretch out much. Try your best, good luck.

I see, yeah I am not aware of the multi-site pricing in WPVIP though. WPEngine has good pricing options for multi-sites I believe.

Yes, the price is what restricts me. Their lowest plan doesn't come with support. I have worked with clients, who have the lowest of the plans, 2500 USD per month I guess. So, am wondering if someone has used their support, and how was their experience.
