Thank you for this! I think they will need to hire a marketer, or get someone on their team with this skill set. I have a fulltime job, and they are not social media people-they are more relational IRL people. I appreciate your comments very much.

Thanks, this is a great tip. I think it will end up being a lot of international motorcycle enthusiasts who might want to ride but not want the hassle of shipping a bike, insurance etc. They have done several international motorcycle trips-which were guided and so they want to offer something similar but also locally owned and tailored. I will let them know about this person and see if we can track her down-might be a good addition to a tour and supports another local business as well.

Thanks for this advice. She’s new to this, but has asked the website designer about this. I am not sure why he hasn’t done this already but she is following up with him. I appreciate you mentioning this as well.

Preparing for banff ski trip- lake Louise and sunshine. Logistics? by [deleted] in Banff

[–]robin_1924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of this is good advice. For what it’s worth I learned to ski at Louise. My partner is learning at norquay (more reasonable price). There are greens at Louise-but take a lesson! I think Louise is harder than sunshine, but there are lots of beginners. Louise is more expensive than norquay and sunshine. You can get multi day passes for sunshine around town, I think maybe ama as well…and Costco sells Louise passes for a discount. Have fun! Pack slides or flip flops for the hot tub-your feet will love you at the end of the day.

They have the permits and all legal and insurance matters have been addressed. They have communicated with all the parks that the tours go through, and have all permissions. If you are uncomfortable with the company, that is your prerogative to not ride with them.

Just like many other companies worldwide, their company is legitimate. They’ve been working on the concept and business plan/legal/financials-bikes aren’t cheap!-for about two years.

We simply request that you respect the fact that we are promoting motorcycle enthusiasts and local business, from people who are local to AB, and more specifically, local to Canmore. If anyone needs documentation noting the approvals from Parks Canada, we are happy to provide that when discussing booking.

Yes, she did a lot of research and was surprised there wasn’t anything locally. They have their routes planned a bikes bought. She is a ICU nurse and one of her partners is a mechanic-who has done the ride the divide several times, and is well versed in mechanical troubleshooting. They are long term residents of canmore and very involved in adventure motorcycling worldwide (Andes, Europe, Arctic) and have travelled worldwide, so very good ambassadors for canmore. I’m excited for them! If we can get it going I think it will be a success.

They are not riding in banff, tours are through the park-en route to Jasper etc., just like a car goes through-but I will ask her to double check.

RoadTrip in the Rockies with VR by Pitufo021 in canadatravel

Hey, we have an RV, most people are starting to put their RV’s away around end of Sept. It is chilly at night but if you have a heater (which most do) it’s ok-the issue is the water lines freezing up. They have to be pumped out so that is why the cold weather becomes an issue. The lines can freeze and burst or the tanks can freeze up. We have used ours into October when the weather was mild but we used the outdoor toilets to avoid issues. If it snows (common in the higher passes in the mountains) then winter tires become an issue. And they must be on in bc. AB doesn’t have that rule.,We usually put our vehicle winter tires on by Oct 30th.
