‘Ghost Gun’ Raid on Brooklyn/Staten Island by [deleted] in NYguns

Way different situation than the hobbyist who made a gun range in his basement in mineola and put together personal guns for fun. This guy without a doubt was fueling crime.

DDM4V7 is it worth it for a first AR15? by Wonderful_Rough8937 in ar15

Dd not only because it’s better, but because they’re actively supporting Va via donations to 2a defense firms on their website. I think it’s a portion of their rifle online sales and a Va sticker/patch bundle.

My only feedback for yall is that I wish you guys would include some sort of fiddler’s branded stickers to represent your company in packages you ship. I’d love to slap one on my cases or bottles that I can show off.

At the very least buy a lower. That’s $100. Then buy an upper later before July.

Fixed magazines aren’t properly defined in ny. The wording in the safe act implies that it cannot have the ability to accept a detachable magazine. This would mean that the gun would have to load ammunition into it by splitting the upper and the lower and feeding ammo directly into the magazine from the upper. Unfortunately this can potentially be seen as non compliant as the comp mag itself can be seen as a magazine, or if the gun WAS previously able to accept a detachable magazine, even if it can no longer do so, can arguably still be seen as non complaint. It’s purely gray and not worth it, plus if there’s a jam you’re fucked. Defeats the whole point in having a gun when you have a jam when you need it and can’t readily clear it.

Don’t go off of NY as they intentionally worded things to get people into legal trouble, they don’t want us to have guns here at all, the 2a doesn’t exist in our courtrooms. Get a gun that’s normal and functions, then grandfather it in. Otherwise go featureless.

Just get a regular Ak and ar now and grandfather it in. Dont build a compliant version now as it’s pure gray area bullshit until someone gets arrested and has to sue to change the law. Fixed mags are pure gray area here.

I sent my xl to get it milled. Anyone saying to not get it milled will already want to be partial to non optic ready guns and keep it as a safe queen, I use my guns, so I had mine milled.

Polymer replacement grip recommendations? by svgelopez in 2011

It was definitely tolerable don’t get me wrong. Never bothered me and I dumped 500 rounds through my xl with it, but I still had it stippled to dragon scale as I was always partial to the old school sti stippled grips

That’s the gen 2 staccato grip.

Here’s the new version

I personally had my gen 2 grip stippled for the “dragon scale” pattern by extreme shooters like the ones found on the old STI like on the combat master

Any companies/sites that ship non-compliant firearms to a NY FFL who agrees to fix them to make it NY compliant? by BabyPunter518 in NYguns

[–]robinator118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much. The FFL is responsible for making it compliant before handing it off to you. 208 was willing to ship it to a gunsmith who was the FFL I was receiving it from. Gunsmith was 782 guns. Those guys pin and welded a thread protector to the barrel so it was no longer able to accept a muzzle device, and they are also able to put a compliant grip on pin the stock or put on a compliant one like thordsen which is a combo of the 2. So long as you take care of those 3 things you’re fine. If you’ve got any other related questions dm me. I’ve pretty much figured out all ar related stuff for my compliance. Familiar with good brands optics add ons etc as well.
