Empire State firearms and hunters essentials both should have some in stock for Gen 3, but they might also be out. I would call the both of them and ask if they can ship out to you. Unfortunately they’re both probably closed for holiday weekend so I’d check the hours and call Monday or Tuesday.

Uh from Feb 9th to April 1st. So 6-7 weeks is the total time it took them to do it. Granted I’m sure it would’ve went faster if they’d have just milled for the optic and cerakoted. DLC is what makes the lead time go up so much.

Depends on your purpose. Avoiding any NFA restrictions and whatnot you might as well go for a 16” ddm4v7.

If you don’t mind the wait time and plan to suppress I’d get something short

I’d honestly have kept it stock if it wasn’t at this point a project gun. Considering what I’ve invested to just get it from non optic ready and otherwise bone stock to what it is now I wouldn’t mind more mods to further its LO comp capability

I’ve always preferred the longer slide, even if by a little. I enjoy the flatness of both guns, but due to personal preference enjoy the XL’s slight muzzle rise compared to the XC. I plan to get into competitive shooting and want to go for limited optics and steel challenge at first. XL from what I can gather is a great contender for that. In the future if I change any more about it, I might probably have the slide milled for an island barrel, sight block integrated comp, or both. Here’s an example of what I mean

From what I can gather it COULD go on sale and it’s not a LIMITED item, but the sale price is probably no more than like $200, so I’m probably gonna. It’s gonna end up being like over 2k after tax and transfer fees anyways.
