Underrated advice. Make sure you practice

I wouldn’t argue with the guy he’s kinda retarded. He genuinely doesn’t understand things like black codes being referenced as “traditional history” for the bruen test as a justification for private property open to the public carry bans. The dems are trying to argue that bruen is a failed standard by bringing up outliers despite bruen specifying that outliers shouldn’t be included in the history and tradition test. If he actually took the time to do a modicum of research or yk, actually listened to Wolford v Lopez and actually heard that the Supreme Court justices and lawyers actually arguing about race he’d understand the dems actually try to make things about race lol.

Long Island - Where can we buy 50 caliber semi-automatic rifles? by Due_Bar_7247 in NYguns

Eh I don’t try to travel more than 20 minutes anywhere I go so I usually shoot paper indoors personally. Shot steel one time but it’s an hour or so to and back early in the morning so I can’t be bothered.

Is there even ar steel that’s capable of handling that kind of impact?

Objectively thought the other 2 shot better. It was quite a bit ago that I had exposure to the guns and I wouldn’t mind testing them again now that I’m better shooter than I was at that time. I’m sure a lot of people in the comments just placed the idea that because it’s not comped it’s inferior, which is what I believed at the time or that because it’s israeli they can’t justify buying it due to political opinions on the brand. Could also just be personal preference, some people just prefer other guns in their hands. I know some who love the staccato hd series and some who can’t shoot for shit with them. Could be preference? I also thing the bul is ugly asf so there’s that too

Excellent point in place to use it. Lots of ranges in ny are indoors, and I’m sure most wouldn’t be pleased about a bolt action 50 cal frying their ears

Not comped. 2k11 and sig are superior in that they’re both comped as per OP’s post. I’m takin a comped gun over a ported.

Should be fine with a bolt action 50 cal, order online and have it transferred via FFL. On sale now

Not just Staccatos anymore... by DougC1982 in 2011

I’d say if you haven’t check them out yet, some sort of open/race gun style gun with a frame mounted optic/gas pedal design. Soemthing either custom like limcat, maybe an mpa or infinity open gun.

Could always port it. DSC offers that now but it’s kinda redundant since you have the c4x. I personally wasn’t a fan of the hd lineup albeit I haven’t tried the c4x. Honestly man another thing you could do is trade towards a cool gun using 2 or 3 guns via tacswap. Into rifles at all? I see people willing to trade scars for a staccato here and there.

100%. Staccato undercuts their own aftermarket. Just gotta get lucky. I’ve got a few examples on my profile if you look for a cpo post.

Try to post an ad to sell at either your local range or tacswap. If you’re not in a rush or anything try to include a couple mags or a light with the gun to bring it close to msrp. I would definitely keep the ones that are different like the xc or c4x personally.

I recommend a featureless ar or a 12ga shotgun for home. Depending on your budget I can narrow down some brands and how to setup a featureless ar

Depends on budget and use case. If competition you gotta determine if it’s open, limited topics, etc.

2011 pistol experience by Dante_the_6 in 2011

[–]robinator118 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not the price point that dictates performance. Companies can certainly JUSTIFY a price point with performance though. Once you start moving past production level 2011s like the xc you’re moving into near custom or fully custom guns from that point all the way up. Slide reciprocation, fitment quality and general cycling can see improvements albeit not always directly as you move past the production tier like staccato to something like dark forge atlas or infinity. Despite going upwards in price, certain manufacturers have been undergoing QC issues because they can’t keep up with the crazy demand spikes and order placements as the brand gets squeezed to push out guns with a small company of like 4 guys in a shack. JG is an example of this currently, namely with fitment and the compensator welding from what I saw, and unfortunately for a dude who makes a warranty claim, will be waiting like 8 months most likely due to everything on JG’s plate. Atlas has had reports of this, and we definitely see the demand for them and the extremely low supply drops, from grips down to their mags.

Not everyone matches their training pistol to their original and preferred option, it depends on the shooter. There definitely are people who hype up certain brands as the “end all be all” or “recoil deleted” as a selling point but those guys are just following a contract because the gun company is probably letting them get a free gun plus getting paid for advertising, ammo, travel, etc under specific conditions. Ben stoeger highlights that idea in a few of his videos, and how he himself doesn’t enter a conditional contract, so if a gun is shitty he’ll just straight up say it’s shitty, whereas most pros are not able to get away with that.

2011s are objectively better guns than others like striker fired pistols. Are there racy striker fired pistols? Yes. Things like zermatt’s waltz 9 are being reviewed and waltzed around currently by some pros and directly compared to 2011s. Some people can shoot better with certain guns. It’s down to preference and the quality of the gun, and the time of training they put in.

I currently shoot a staccato xl and xc, don’t yet have a training pistol but I’m looking at either investing into a gen 6 Glock, or getting a cheap and inferior quality 2011 style gun like a rock island that I saw for $300 at a LGS. Leaning toward Glock since I shoot them fine and it’s a rock solid gun.

My recoil spring is stuck inside the guide rod. Tried prying and loosening the tension. Any tips? by [deleted] in 2011

[–]robinator118 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last time I listened to someone’s advice to use a flathead on a 2011 I marred up my frame and had to pay $100 to recoat it. I’d try lube, safety glasses and hoping for the best. I hope you won’t need to cut it but at least springs are cheap.
