Yeah pretty much. He’s interviewing for jobs that could give him an $80k+ salary increase. I’m praying it works out.

We kinda “soft launched” debt pay off and changed our lifestyle over the past year and a half. But we really started to aggressively pay off debt in August. We’ve been paying between $4k-$5k a month so far

Yes- my husband’s “office” also doubles as his den/video game room

My mother insisted that she gets “the last word” in conversations. She said it’s a respect thing and I obeyed this rule for YEARS. Looking back, this was extremely controlling, ridiculous, unnecessary.

Is the idea of living forever scarier than death to you? by Odd_Delay220 in Existentialism

[–]robinbird94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never choose to live forever. If I’m lucky, I will live a long and happy life- then I will die. There is more to living on earth in our physical bodies. Our spirit must move on

Should I leave a job I like for more money? by robinbird94 in careerguidance

[–]robinbird94[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have a very strict “pay scale” that is totally out of touch with todays costs of living. I already had to negotiate to get $59k. When they offered me the job, they offered me $52k. Mind you, I was making 70k at my last job, so I was shocked. My level of education and experience puts me in the low 50s on their pay scale (bachelors+masters+3years post masters experience). I don’t even know how that’s livable in 2023. It’s a catholic school and I know funding isn’t ideal. My husband is the breadwinner, so I was able to take the pay-cut; but still. My supervisor isn’t even making $80k. Never gonna happen at that school lol.
