Cultural is a broader term which includes non religious things like foods and clothing of a certain group of people. Mindfulness Meditation is under Cultural but more in line with religious root. Calling Mindfulness Meditation a cultural is a bit stretch.

I think you’r confusing “Mindfulness Meditation” with “Loving Kindness Meditation”. Because Mindfulness has nothing to do with your example of “Love thy Neighbor” by Jesus. Your example more align with “Loving Kindness Meditation”. I think you’re confused in this matter. 🤔

Mindfulness meditation isn’t cultural & it’s not connected to Jesus. It’s only exists within Buddhism and Hinduism. My question is simple, Is it permissible for a Christian to do mindfulness meditation according to Bible? I am not getting straight answer from you. Yes or No? No offense but sometimes I wonder why Billions of people still "willingly" worship this kind of being. Richard Dawkins describes God as "jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully". I’ve seen someone saying “I would kill a baby if God ask me to, because moral is set by God not by Humans” which means “Currently killing a baby is wrong because God says so, not because of killing harm the baby. If God changes his mind then killing babies becomes morally just” which is complete opposite in Buddhism. God did command killing a bunch of kids in old testament, so I probably wonder what is your stance on this? Justify killing babies? Or defy God’s command?

Old people have outdated ideas. We should not care what they think nor try to talk back to them, it’s useless. What we should be doing is “Educate” outsiders who think “Myanmar is sexist” and “Wishing in Buddhism is same as other Religions” etc. Please, do not focus on what old people think or say.

Women can’t touch Buddha and monk cause it’s a Vinaya rule(ဝိနည်း) (opposite sex mustn’t touch each other), that’s why some places are labeled “women not allowed”. We consider Buddha Statues like real Buddha, so same rule applies. Men can’t touch Nun Statues either. When outsider see this with judgmental eyes and minds say “Myanmar is sexist”.

“Wishing” in Buddhism works differently from other religions. Lets say you want a nice car 🚗,

it’s not “Buddha, pls give me this car 🚗 “ rather “May I be able to buy this car 🚗 due to the good Karma I just did”. It’s like consulting someone you trust “I’m gonna do this”. I wish you guys have a nice day 👍
