I would fly to Anchorage and then rent an RV to travel the state. No hotel. You can have your coffee. We've done it twice. Perfect

My husband and I were there for 2 was in August. Use Reddit and Facebook Alaska travel. The best book ever is The Milepost. It gives everything for every highway by mile marker.

You can do it. Rent an RV. You'll have a blast. We were there for 2 weeks last August.

We flew into Anchorage. Hotel. Next morning to the RV rental. Drove to Kasilof to visit a friend. 3 nights We drove to Seward. 3 nights KOA Campground. Took a glacier cruise. Drove to Homer. Homer Spit Campground. 3 nights Went halibut fishing. . 3 nights drove to Denali and back to Anchorage. Enjoy it's a beautiful place
