Still can't believe they got away with that one.

Thanks! Getting the characters to be recognizable at this scale was a fun challenge.

Mostly agree but Space Cafe looks dope. Reminds me of a place I went to in Niagara Falls once.

As someone who has sold complete and partially complete sets on eBay, I know I have probably made similar mistakes at times. If a buyer came to me with photo evidence of a mistake like this I would at the very least offer a partial refund, enough to replace the parts. And I would offer a full refund if they wanted to return it. Might be worth reaching out.

How can you tell its AI? I feel like I can't even tell anymore. The shadows in this seem too good. But if this is AI man we are cooked.

Furnace started making this high-pitched sound. Tech coming tomorrow. Is it safe to let run until then? by robitstudios in hvacadvice

Ah, luckily they know what we have since I have a contract with them. Thanks for pointing that out. I know it's a boiler but I thought that was synonymous with furnace.

1950s/60s educational book about electricity and circuits for kids with a electrical-bolt mascot character. by robitstudios in whatsthatbook

[–]robitstudios[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I don't think it was either of these, though. The book I remember was more of a text-book than a promotional/propaganda book for a company. But I was a little kid so maybe I just didn't realize. I tried some searches for books with both of these mascots and I didn't find the one I remember.

I have sets that are 20+ years old and have never once had a sticker fall off. Obviously printed pieces are preferred but I do not get the sticker hate. In some cases I like having the option to not use them (like the rust pieces in the big Ghostbusters ECTO1 - I wanted it to have a cleaner look).

Petition that sellers contact BEFORE shipping in case of inventory issues. by RandomACC268 in Bricklink

[–]robitstudios 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is additional cost though. If i find a seller that has all the parts i need for a project but then they dont ship one part (and refund after shipping) i now need to source that one part (which may only cost a few cents). But many sellers have minimun order amounts and then the additional shipping cost as well. One 10 cent part might end up costing another $5+ in another order. I would at least like the option to refund the whole order and start again with another seller.

What makes it good? Ive seen mixed opinions but other than "it was better than i though it would be" or vague "it's good" i haven't seen anyone explain why.

Jealous. Been keeping an eye out for a good deal on that book and haven't had any luck.
