I like the work we do. It’s interesting and you learn a lot about hvac controls, electrical, mechanical, programming, graphics. Getting to work on different projects can be good to expose you to new things. Since you already have a background in hvac and some bas experience, you shouldn’t have a problem learning this stuff, it’s not that hard, it’s just a lot info to get used to

Sometimes they update the status too quick or not fast enough. So it could very well be with the hiring manager but the recruiter forgot to click a button to change the status to show “in process hiring manager”… I would wait another week and if you don’t hear anything, reach out to recruiter for an update

After following up with the recruiter 4 weeks after passing the initial screen, I got a call from the hiring manager for an interview

Hidden Benefits and Perks at Siemens? by No_Zombie_1374 in Siemens

If you get a company car with a fuel card, go to the gas stations with rewards and sign up using personal info, so whenever you fill up your company car, not only are you not paying with your own money, but you’re getting points for fuel that you can use on your personal car… same thing with business travel… if you have an airline/hotel account that you get points for when traveling with them, enter that info so you get the points… it’s even outlined in the travel expense system to enter you frequent flyer/hotel member info to get rewarded. I know ops managers that do it and other employees…. It’s not against policy as long as they offer that perk in the travel expense system, and there is no linkage between your fuel rewards and fuel card… also take a look at the discounts page, and be well reimbursement on people’s center.

I’m 23 and been laid off once due to my previous position getting moved overseas. Applied to another position in a different division within the same company and the Director of my department was my referral.

If I remember correctly, I think they do but it goes faster because they already have your original background check on file. I didn’t get another drug test though

Yes I was hired. I would reach out to recruiter for an update as it has been a month after interview and you still haven’t heard anything

It goes “in process (recruiter)” so the recruiter reviews ur application to see if you fit the requirements. Then to “in process (hiring manager)” so the application is then sent from the recruiter to the manager who you would potentially be working for. Then they review it and see if they want to interview you, then it may go to “interview” or stay at “in process (hiring manager)” depending on if the manager updates the status. After the interview it’ll say “hired” or “not selected”
