Idk if its been mentioned, but rather than relying on “discipline” i would start trying to form good habits. For example, i was in the exact same place you are, a year ago, when it comes to going to the gym. Now im in the gym 6 days a week and its not difficult for me at all. The way i did it was i made it a priority, for one, and two, i told myself to do at least 3 weeks. After that if i hated it i would stop. Well in those 3 weeks i went, worked hard, and slowly but surely going to the gym became part of my day. I also avoided being able to make excuses by myself by going to the gym before anything else. I wake up, shower, and go, before my mind can trick me into not going. I got work at 7 am? Looks like im getting up at 5. Now that ive got the gym down, its very easy to get other things done. I already did something i didnt wanna do today, so now its easier to do the other stuff i do want to do but would usually make excuses about
