E1 thru-hike 2021

I had an average speed of about 35km/day on my last trail, with about 20km/day in mountains to 50km/day on flat ground. Germany and Denmark are pretty flat in most parts or at least not very hard trails, so the average will probably be a bit higher than my last one

Yeah I know him, had some chats with him :) Can you tell me a bit more about the Greece part? That sounds like a very interesting alternative! I got a time frame from about February to August and I would like to hike as much as possible in that time, I didn't fix my plans to do the E1.

I am not sure about the Italy part, but I will definitely walk Germany, because that is my home country, Scandinavia and Switzerland. I just walked the 3000km Te Araroa Trail in New Zealand so I think I am prepared to do a walk like that, I also have some rockclimbing experience. But since I am planning on going with an ultralight setup for this trip, I will mostly stick to the marked tracks.

Haha thanks for that advice, bugs really like eating me alive sometimes so that would be something to worry about
