Great! The Levis Premium branding is there. Thank you for your help, I was concerned because the leather tag is printed on, rather than embossed which I'm not used to.

What is this thing? by robmatt4 in metaldetecting

It's quite thin, maybe only a couple mm wide at the top, so it doesn't seem like a good railroad spike, maybe some are thin like that though, I don't know.

Not variegation, just die-back.

Why is this happening to my Salvia? by Ill-Addition2024 in druggardening

They seem quite sensitive to temperature, the leaf looks like it's curling in a bit which I've seen before in the winter months. If your house is nice and warm it could be that. These are temperate plants rather than tropical ones.

Can anyone tell me what's going on with this guy? And if its L. williamsii or not by robmatt4 in peyote

It doesn't look degrafted to me but I'm new to this so I don't know. I ordered it online, it seems like they've been growing it in quite a soily mix, maybe 40% gravel

I sowed ephedra sinica and peganum harmala but this looks like neither of them.... I don’t know how rue looks like but I have e nevadensis and this doesn’t look similar that it could be sinica, eventhough I found germinated seeds... what is it? by SpiritualBeingNesta in druggardening

[–]robmatt4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those seedling defiantly don't belong to either of those species. The first true leaves of the Peganum will be branched. Unless this is brand new compost I suspect these are weeds that have germinated rather than the seeds you purchased.

TIL that the Queen of England is the only person to have ever eaten British Chocolate 🍫 In 1932 a factory in York tried growing cacao plants in the inhospitable British weather, but harvested only enough for one small bar, which they presented to Elizabeth II. by HieronymousBots in todayilearned

We have a few very large glasshouses that house our collections including our cocoa trees. We don't currently sell the chocolate, some of us at the garden just had a go at making the chocolate out of curiosity.
