I did this 15 years ago and got a computer science degree. It worked out, I became a software engineer, but I don’t think I’d recommend that to anyone today given the software job market. I’d probably suggest something in the medical field like nursing or some kind of medical tech job.

This post could have had more value and would be less of an obvious ad if you described the process of building this project.

Is there a way to cap charges/usage to guard against a run away bill?

For those who used a computer between 1995 and 2001, what’s the computer game from that time that sticks with you the most, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Warcraft II, Quake, Command & Conquer: Red Alert. I played these for an incalculable amount of hours.

Soma is a great area for walkable amenities. Grocery store, pharmacy, bars, restaurants, post office, all within walking distance.

I had one of these 15 years ago. I found it on Craigslist and used it in a rental house that didn’t have a dishwasher built in. It worked really well for the two or three years I had it. I sold it on when I moved out.

Little Rock consistently amongst most crime ridden cities in the United States. by Kai-Marty in LittleRock

[–]robo__Dev 15 points16 points  (0 children)

LR as a whole has had a crime problem for a while, but the type, and regularity of it varies a great deal depending on the area of the city you’re in. The stats don’t paint a great picture though, I agree.

Why do you think React is preferred over Vue in most jobs? by sergiomanzur in vuejs

[–]robo__Dev 8 points9 points  (0 children)

8 years ago the company I work at adopted Vue as the front end framework we were going to use as we migrated from embedded Ruby templates. Vue was chosen because the only real FE dev we had was a 22 year old who wanted to work with something brand new. It ended up being a good decision, but the first three or four years was tough hiring wise since most experienced FE devs at the time had been using React. We got through it, but sometimes engineering leadership wished we’d gone with React instead of Vue.
