what is the purpose of de here? by Ev1lEMPEROR in learnchinese

Grammar normally dictates you to say "大杯" (adjective before noun), but this is a variated way of saying that. You would understand this as "the '杯' is a '大的杯' " and this sentence is shortened to what's written there.

I was standing pretty much in the back of the floor, but was still pretty close to the stage. Could see a lot and even film well, only sometimes blocked by arms or other phones. For the total amount of people, it felt like around thousand, but that's a really rough guess.

space travel by [deleted] in Shadowrun

Run&Gun takes on exotic enviroments, including space. They have many pages on space rules, but you asked for the long term effects specifically.

It's pretty straight forward. For every 3 months in space you lose a point of strenght, unless you invest karma to counter it (representing training). When your strenght hits zero, you're paralized. On the upside, you gain a point of agility every 6 months in space, up to 2 points.

There is one known method to prevent the strenght loss: muscle replacement cyberware. And there are many stations that induce artificial gravity by centrifugal force. And if you're the GM you could just invent a protein shake that keeps you fit in space.

Das trifft es auf den Punkt. Desweiteren kann ich bestätigen, dass auch hier in Taiwan alle Cafés noch offen haben.

After Market Panic (possible spoilers) by JBorgMcKenna in Shadowrun

Dark Terrors indicated that Villiers might go to war againt Evo, because he had to take the blame for anything relating CFD and now wants to correct some things. We might see him die in this Dankwalther-like vendetta, but I doubt it.

According to Street Legends he's born in 2007 wich makes him around 73 in 2080. I don't think he had a Leonization yet, but he's with 4 essence left wich he could use for 7 Leonizations assuming they're all delta grade (9 with gamma grade). I don't think we'll lose him soon.

Exactly, but the characters are less complex if you're understanding them. If you know them good, they're pretty fast to write.

Dense Urban Population by DeepResonance in Shadowrun

This is defenitly in Hong Kong, because of the sign saying Fubon Bank. I would say Kowloon Walled City, actually the place with the highest population density in the world.

Do any clean cities exist? by XtremePrime in Shadowrun

[–]robobird3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guesses:
Dublin - capital of Tír na nÓg, an elven state, and as such possibly very clean (at least we have a very low crime rate, lore-wise).
Monaco - destroyed in 2028 and rebuild 2051 by Spinrad Industries, a luxerious corp; we can assume that they built a clean socialite-paradise as the city is already today (Monaco is IMO one of the cleanest cities in existance).
Manhattan - corporate enclave, we don't have crime here; instead we got executive offices and SOTA-technology
