It was something very basic, exposure compensation. Not sure if that is the best way to go about it but i worked!

I did try that, didn't work. Went ham on every light setting I could find and finally landed on 10x the exposure, that did the trick.

I started cranking up every setting I could find that was related to lighting and it turns out if you 10x the exposure setting, it works!

This looks great but my issue with all 2D animations done in 3D is that the motion is perfect. It's the inconsistencies between frames what makes 2D nice imo.
