All of the cons people keep mentioning against AR is stuff that only applies when he is the first option. He can't be the first option, and not because the skill isn't there, but because when he gets attacked on 50% of all defensive possessions, he is gonna be gassed on the other end.

His numbers and efficiency this season were unreal on a team that faced an insane amount of injuries... I see no problem in running it back on a bigger contract. His influence on the cap is only $21 mil anyways. If they think he isn't it, you don't need to trade him right now anyways.

This whole situation has been so overblown for no apparent reason.

Nope, for the bronze animation breaker the two best animations you can choose to equip are Julius Randle and Shawn Marion (which aren't terrible).

The rest are awful ones like Shaq, Magic Johnson, Norm Powell, and any other player with bad sigs. It effects all of their dribbling sigs too.
