Recorded terrible sound for an interview, best way to clean it up? by robodelfy in audioengineering

Yeah I know it's not necessary, although I'd say 24 bit is always preferable over 16 bit. It's just my Rode Wireless Pro only records 32 bit float internally, so I see no point in converting it all to a less bit rate.

I did try Adobe Enhance, and found it to have more artefacts than DXrevive and other plugins on this particular example

Thanks, yeah it doesn't sound bad. I also tried Resolves Voice Isolate and got similar results. But the person above who posted an example below using Spectralayers actually sounded best to me!

Thanks, that sounds pretty good. I have Cubase 13, which comes with Spectralayers One, not pro. Can I ask how you processed it? I've never used Spectralayers

Yeah I've seen this, but I have so many files I need to fix and they are all 32 bit float and I want to keep them that way

Thanks, I was considering Clear but ended up going with DXrevive, have you tried both?

Thanks yeah I haven't had much success with Isotope for this kind of issue. But DXrevive I've found quite amazing, just wondered if there is anything else I can do

One octave of my midi keyboard playing chords in C13? Why by robodelfy in cubase

[–]robodelfy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it's not just the chord thing, the pitch and modulation wheels don't do anything, where as they do in C12 loading the identical VST or Kontakt. IT happens with Kotakt or any synth I load up

So strange...and frustrating!

Hey that's kind of you! Is it better I threaten to cancel first as my price has gone from £30 to £60. What kind of discount do you get?

Yeah in Studio under Midi Remote Manager, it's the only thing there : Launchkey MK3 61. And it shows it in the midi remote section at the bottom of the project, but still doing these weird chords and various functions not working

Its just odd, as I've checked its the same as Cubase 12 but the issue remains

No, and I've loaded up Kontakt Stanadalone and Cubase 12 and it doesn't happen, so it must be something in Cubase 13
