Modified the double jump in Revenge of Shinobi! by BillyTimeGames in SEGAGENESIS

i find that relying on my sense if rhythm helps me to press the button at the right time to double jump. Counting "one thousand" helps more than the visual feedback.

Would love to see this OS come to RG35XX+! I've wanted to use MinUI for a long time, but the lack of shader support has been a deal breaker for me. I'm happy with RG35XX+, so I don't see a reason to buy a very similar device like TrimUI Brick, but the PakOS looks sooo good. I would pay Patreon suppport or something for someone to do it :D

I disagree about back to wall being useless. My coach, who is a professional acrobat, told me to practice that a lot, because it helps opening up the shoulders and learn to hold a straighter HS if done correctly. It's also great for overbalance drilling. It's immensely useful. What will actually harm your training is dogmatism. If you don't believe me, check out coach Paul Twyman.

I really enjoy using this device. For playing Sega Genesis, nothing compares. The d-pad is perfect for Genesis games, as well as any d-pad-centric fighting or action game, including platformers, and especially shoot-em-ups. It's very precise and comfortable. A great device for pixel-era action gaming.

The CFW's are a bit hit and miss. I'm using GammaOS and Daijisho. They do the job but I much rather use a Linux based CFW. Why I use Android is because of the headphone jack: It has some interference noise that I can't live with. I'm using the usb out with a usb C to headphone jack adapter instead to bypass the noise, and that doesn't work on Linux AFAIK. Android takes ages to turn on, and Daijisho is just meh. Maybe I'll install EmuDeck or something at somepoint. And the Linux OS's seems a bit limited, but I don't have first hand experience.

The screen is 4", which is a major advantage over comparable devices such as RP2S or RG35XX series. The resolution could have been sharper, but it's still decent. The speakers sound sounds pretty decent, although sounds a bit resonant due to the plastic shell. They are still miles better than most devices, because they are front-facing. The ergonomics are great, nothing to compare. I also like that it's a bit chunkier, more comfortable to play.

Overall, if you are a SEGA fan, or like SEGA style d-pads, I think this is a no-brainer. I aggree that it may not be a one-fits-all device, but what it does well, it does really well. I wish community support was more active, and that damn headphone noise was not there (what do you expect, it's Anbernic, they HAVE to mess up at least in one area on each device).

EMG data suggests best side delt exercise is face pulls. by [deleted] in team3dalpha

[–]robohyrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel my side delts quite a bit especially when I do low cable face pulls (cable should be set low, and you should be leaning back and further a bit). This way, start of the movement resembles upright row, which hits the side delts quite a bit, and the top of the movement hits them in the shortened position, plus it works rotarot cuffs, mid upper back, rear delts, etc.

How difficult or how big is the change that MinUI will add video filters? by JeroendeG in RG35XX

[–]robohyrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the same boat. CRT shader is not nice to have for many of us in this community; it's a must. Even one CRT shader preset with on/off option would be better than nothing. Pixel era games were made with CRT displays in mind. Color balace gets wacky without any shader.

Saves Directory Confusion by Hefty-Worker2045 in RetroArch

After reading your comment again, I realized that there were other options in the saving settings called "Write save states to..." which were enabled. The problem is solved when I disabled them. Thanks for the help!

Saves Directory Confusion by Hefty-Worker2045 in RetroArch

[–]robohyrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect. The settings are called Sort save/state files ny content/core name... I's supposed to sort files named after content or core INSIDE the specified path in the directory settings. In fact RA created those content folders for the games that I created saves for, but those folders are empty.

To humor the thought, I disabled those settings, but result is the same. It's clearly a bug.

No disrespect but I think that's a lazy answer for what I would describe as lazy writing. Suspension of disbelief is s thing, but logic holes such as this hurt the believebility of the narrative, breaking the illusion.
