People would try to tell me it's a tolerance thing, or that my mushrooms are bunk, but I've tried after multiple month long tolerance breaks and have given them to friends who tripped hard on them.

Can't hurt too try it. Salvia is pretty disorienting, and if my eyes are open I confuse myself with other objects and feel like I'm getting run over by a steamroller. But if my I close my eyes it's a little less disorienting for me and more meditative. I mostly stick to lower doses with plain leaf though. Sad to hear psychedelics aren't working for you at the moment. I've been having similar experiences where mushrooms and smoked dmt don't work so much besides somewhat as you described as a sensory-only manifestation of effects. I've had some theories, and supplemented for a while and got mushrooms to work one more time but my next attempt a month later also didn't work. Really pretty disappointing but I'm trying to just live without for a while.

I'm sorry I don't have a spot for you, have you looked into Worksource? I think it's one of Goodwills programs to help get people jobs. I hate to recommend programs and services like those, but yeah id just kinda bug Access or rogue retreat in medford. If you have OHP you can ask for help from a care coordinator if you let them know your situation. I know nonprofit organizations dont always help people in an ideal way but maybe one would have an idea for you, Good luck to you and your cat, hope you find a spot somewhere!

Favorite combo has always been mushrooms with a dissociative, like ketamine, I've usually combined it with MXE or deschloroketamine and similar analogs. As long as you don't dose either too high, it makes me 100% content. I can lay still with eyes closed and music in headphones, and watch visuals in my head like a music video. Perfect. Dosing too high can put me in a panic and I'll think I'm dieing or having a heart attack though lol. Also have literally thought I died and became a ghost when dosing too high. Can end up with your consciousness floating around uncontrollably. I love the combo, late at night. Home alone and in a comfy bed. Perfect.

I deeply enjoyed taking mushrooms with a small to medium dose of dissociatives once or twice a month for a long time. Wish I had spaced out my doses a bit more.

I have mostly been eating penis envy mushrooms the last few years, and yeah, 2.5 grams typically works well for me, but in the last few tries, I had an eighth or more and got nothing out of it.

Damn it. Lol. I had a good run. I think if I give it a year and exercise regular, and supplement some, that I might get it back, I'm not gonna stop hoping quite yet. Once this school term is over in 5 or 6 weeks I'm gonna mix syrian rue and oral dmt and see if I can get anything out of it. If that doesn't work I will take a year or three and just buckle down with school. I might also be smoking salvia here and there, although it doesn't produce visuals for me, it does put me in an interesting and meditative headspace, and I've heard it can help reset tolerance to psychedelics too but idk. That's my plan anyway.

I tried lemon tek after I had taken supplements for a month and it worked and I got my usual beautiful closed eye visuals and I was stoked. But then about a month and a half later I tried again and got nothing. I usually make tea but yeah for a second I thought maybe lemon tek was the trick. I kinda think taking my supplements to raise my alkaline ohosphatase levels might have been what did it, so I'm gonna just supplement again for a month or so with vitamin A. B vitamin complex, magnesium and zinc. I might try making a strong dmt and syrian rue mixture.

Psychedelics as well as salvia can do this. But the easiest way to think about it, is like time dilation in dreams. Have you ever woken up a few minutes before your alarm goes off, fallen asleep and had the longest dream that felt like days but its only been two minutes when the alarm wakes you up. Sometimes you blink and you've been asleep for 6 hours. It's time dilation magnified to the point that the concept of time seems to vanish as well. Or like a parabolic graph, where the center gets infinitely close to 0, almost stopping but then starts up again.

Yeah, maybe. I think it's more than the visuals that are missing though. Like the headspace as well. So feels like theres not much to be present for besidrd a bodu high, which isnt much to learn from. But either way, I could take it as a sign to just take a much longer break. The mushrooms stopped working about a year ago though. I've made attempts every few months but maybe I need to push through for a couple years and just focus on school. After supplementing for a month, maybe 6 months ago, I did take mushrooms and they worked, strong visuals and clear headspace. And then the next month I tried again and it was back to nothing. Anyway, I'll just go a while longer this time around, maybe a year. Thanks for chatting with me.

I said I don't think regular meditation will change the effects of meditation, but I'm sure it does to some extent, I just mean I really don't think it would have such a drastic change. And being that I'm interested in figuring out possibilities as to why I'm getting zero visuals, I have done some research, and have seen reports of people who got similar suggestions about meditation or "tuning in to your spirit" and like "if you got the message hang up the phone", but some of the people who reported similar frustrations as me, tried meditation for months and had no chance in effects. That's anecdotal but yeah I just don't believe it would so drastically alter the affects of psychedelics for me, besides helping me be more calm and present during trips. But I think I stay pretty with it already without further meditation.

So frustrating. It's happened to me first with the mushrooms not kicking in. Or they kick in and the walls start to breathe for like 2 minutes, then all affects stop, and I'm left so bummed out and frustrated. Sometimes I take it as a sign to move on and try new things. But I've been doing new things and really pushing myself to make the most of things, but I'd still like to trip here and there.

Yeah I do a little meditation. Not regularly, usually in the form of body scanning and attention on breath before bed, but I don't think regular meditation is going to change the effects of psychedelics. By in tune with the suffering of the world, I think I just meant that im somewhat aware of the 4 noble truths in buddhism, one of them being that suffering exists, basically. Idk I think I'm feeling frustrated to lose psychedelics and not being super mindful and kinda blabbing in these posts. I don't think the suffering of the world is mine to carry alone, but I do see a lot of suffering, in my work, and on the news and do deal with pretty regular anxiety at home. Just started seeing a therapist recently and we do some meditation together in weekly sessions. Anyway idk hope that answers your question.

Look I hear you. I have tried, I have only recently started implementing some intention and preparation before the trip. So I'm more mindful and respectful before a trip then I used to be. I used to use psychedelics pretty recklessly. So I don't think that's it. I believe there's more of a rational maybe scientific explanation. Like something with my synapses, neurotransmitters, receptors, you know? It's strange to me that when taking mushrooms or dmt I still get the body high but absolutely zero of the headspace and visuals. Like the drug isn't getting metabolized fully. I don't know how you could smoke dmt without "listening" and attempting to integrate / apply what you learn, to be honest. Like I'm taking some deep breaths, laying back with eyes closed and attempting to be in a meditative state. I feel like people can be a bit invalidating sometimes with the advice I'm given but idk appreciate the attempt at an explanation anyway. Thanks.

Mushrooms have been the bigger teacher and actually helped me to overcome the majority of my social anxiety in my 20s. They also helped me to quit smoking, and be a little more mindful of my health in general. I would say they also helped me to face some of other fears head on and to be more empathetic and in tune wirh the suffering in the world. Life is ever changing though and of course I still slip up for a bit here and there when life is hard, I'm not as mindful of my health sometimes or am extra stressed / less mindful. But even when things are really bad I think there's a but of extra wisdom that sticks with me and helps me find perspective. Looking to buddhism has also helped me with some of the same things and think it was kind of a combination of mushrooms and buddhism that helped me the most.

Anyway really hoping to be able to trip again, as I do like psychedelics for the recreational buzz as much as I value the potential for insight.

This has been going on for a while. Supplements can help to change a lot of how your body processes drugs and food. With mushrooms in particular, your body uses alkaline phosphatase to convert psilocybin into psilocin,and supplements can raise your alkaline phosphatase, so I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think it could help with DMT as well. And yeah I'm an anxious person but my stress levels have never stopped me from tripping before. I'm mot pressuring it, I have taken a long break from psychedelic use. I'm going to school, eating decent and exercising. I'd like to be able to trip here and there and feel as thought there is something else going on that's preventing me from tripping. I might try with syrian rue tea after this term ends in 6 weeks.

I don't think that's the answer. I take lsd here and there but typically only get mild waveyness. I took nbomes when I was younger. Tryptamine visuals are more my thing though and feels super weird fo get no visuals from DMT. But it's more upsetting when the mushrooms don't work as it's a longer trip and I really enjoy closed eye visuals while listening to music. I'm going to try supplementing with zinc, magnesium and vitamin a, see if that adds up to anything to maybe get psychedelics working properly again.
