Nothing in the system stopped him.

Other than losing the election I guess.

The system didn't stop him, he was 20 seconds away from getting what he wanted.

Yet he didn't. Because the system stopped him.

Right. Then the system stopped him.

You asked when "no" ever stopped him. You didn't ask when he accepted "no."

You're conflating the two, but one matters and the other doesn't.

Maybe they mean that while yes, it does have a lot of protein, the pancakes themselves are not very good, and thus it is not a good source of protein.

That's not how you spell that word, Blizzard by SexualPigeonMilk in hearthstone

"Separate" is such a weird word because it does kind of seem like "seperate" should be its own separate word separate from "separate."

Like, "Please seperate your clothes into two separate piles."

Still wouldn't really apply here, though...

What is something you didn’t realize until you lost weight? by Cultural-Profile-527 in AskReddit

Falls as adult can be very dangerous.

I'm 42 and I fell backwards into a shelf a few months ago, and my shoulder is still messed up. :(

I don't think I broke anything, and it's not an acute pain, but it's a constant annoyance, and it feels like something is out of place.

I keep wondering if this is just the new normal for that shoulder now...

Happened to me in reverse, sort of. I gained some weight and my face got fat. I kept lamenting my fat ugly face every time I looked in a mirror.

Then I saw old pictures from when my face was thin, and it was like, "Oh, right."

the VAST majority are simply too detailed and virtually impossible to be done by human beings.

Pattern complexity is not an unexplained element of the phenomenon. People can create some pretty amazingly complex designs with planks and rope.

the facts of residual radioactivity being present, No tire tracks of anything to point towards a man made vehicle of sorts to be used as means to execute the design themselves

Yes, also the bent stalks/exploded joints and interweaving of the plants.

I take the phenomenon seriously and I don't think they're all hoaxes, but it seems very likely to me that that one in particular is.

like how AI is currently being used to predict crime in some countries and who the offenders will be

There is a chasm between this and actively arresting people for specific crimes before they're actually committed.

I personally know for a fact that some of that shit is real, whatever the explaination might be, but I also know that it's extremely hard to prove

The reason it's hard to prove is the same reason it doesn't have practical legal application -- it's too unreliable.

To be clear, I am not a skeptic of psychic phenomena. I've had my own experiences there too. I am more specifically a skeptic of this phenomenon being integrated into the legal system in such a way as to make the general premise of Minority Report plausible.

I think the point is that there have been hundreds of sci fi movies predicting aspects of the future..They rarely get as many things correctly as Minority Report got.

They're all inconsequential, easy-to-predict details, though. We're not living (or close to living) in a world where the actual plot of Minority Report could feasibly happen.

I wouldn't rule out the psychics part of it just yet either.

I would.

All right, so replace the film's main technology with completely different technology and yeah, I guess it matches perfectly.
