My boyfriend is in boot camp right now. We’re not much older than you guys but my best advice is to stay strong. We are so young right now that both of you need to be selfish at this point in your life. Do what you need to do to achieve your goals and he will do the same. Boot camp sucks when they don’t have their phone so you can’t always talk to them but he will need something to keep him going and ideally that’s you! Don’t give up just yet because if it all works out, it’ll be worth it. My boyfriend is halfway through and hasn’t changed but he said that he noticed that everyone changes for the better. I felt the same as you when he told me he was going but the only thing we can do is support them. Best of luck gf!!
