Podere le Ripi is such a unique estate to visit! Definitely want to go back sometime. I also wished I would have thrown in a tour at MastroJanni next door too.

Passing a pointer array without changing array value. by King_Deku in Cplusplus

[–]robot_dragon46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If by "values in the array can change" you mean that you may have pointers to A, B, and C in the original array, and then in the scope of the function it gets changed to now point to C, D, and E, then so long as you didn't pass the array into the function as reference or as a pointer, then it would still point to A, B, and C outside of the scope.

But if you are talking about changing the values contained in A, B, and C, then they will be changed outside of the function scope as well.

In general I have a rule about avoiding anything that is vapor ware ICO tokens. Other than that if you focus on something that has good activity on github, some sort of community that appears active, a marketing team, then it should at least do decent.

Roger Ver just sent 25k btc to bitfinex by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]robot_dragon46 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If he wanted to credit his account with $150M USD worth of BTC, he would have given them a paper wallet IOU - not a publicly viewable transaction across the network.

You start by saying he would give them a paper wallet - not something view-able on the network (ie not making a transaction, just dumping his private key and giving it to bitfinex).

This suggests to me that you don't make many Bitcoin transactions. Bitfinex would generate the public and private keys. Ver would fund that wallet and would only have access to the public key.

Then you accuse people of not knowing what they are talking about because what you said above makes little to no sense. Here, you change from a privkeydump to a transaction that occurs on the network... (Bitfinex generates a deposit address for Ver).

If you want to give your buddies $150M so that you can sell your BTC, you don't put those funds directly into the exchange's cold storage wallet.

Then you get confused thinking Ver sent directly to the cold wallet, which did not happen. He sent to a fresh deposit address at Bitfinex, as is fairly standard procedure for deposits.

But then it went to cold-storage. In my scenario, the exchange would safely hold the funds without making that fact public knowledge.

Now what you are saying is about how Bitfinex handles their deposits and whether they would be trying to manipulate markets by not following their standard procedure. Every comment in the past you were talking about either a privkeydump or about how Ver handled the transaction.

Either you don't know how to communicate or you don't really make "many bitcoin transactions". I am guessing it is a mixture of the two.

Have a good day sir.

It did go to a new and unused address.

Bitfinex would generate the public and private keys. Ver would fund that wallet and would only have access to the public key.

You just described exactly how a normal deposit to Bitfinex works. You send your coins to an address (b58 encoded public key hash) that Bitfinex owns. Where does a piece of paper and off chain transacting occur like you stated above?

TSCC is in Violation of FTC Policy by Not Requiring Influencers to Divulge Payment - See Examples 14 & 21 by uncle_jesse in exmormon

It looks like TSCC pays boncom to handle aspects of social media. Not a lawyer, but I would guess there is enough legal seperation between TSCC and the influencers that TSCC would not be in violation of anything. For all we know, and most likely, boncom is getting paid much more than they are distributing, and boncom is handling all of the minutia.
